This CL is in a quiet location with a pretty wildflower meadow and a pond where the CL owner has kindly put a bench so you can sit and relax and enjoy the great outdoors and perhaps cook your evening meal on a BBQ and chat with the other visitors. Seasonal produce such as home grown runner beans and tomatoes are for sale to raise money for charity.
In the nearby village of Walberton there is a pub serving home cooked food and the village also has a launderette a post office and a convenience store
An easy 10 minute drive and you could be walking on the South Downs Way enjoying the long distance footpath and bridleway which is one of the 15 National trails in England and Wales.
The market town of Arundel is just 4 miles away with its medieval castle with 1000 years of history and magnificent grounds overlooking the River Arun. The current Duke still lives in the castle and it appeared in the 2009 film "The Young Victoria" as Windsor Castle. Arundel's ostentatious 19th century cathedral dominates the skyline
Within an easy driving distance sits Amberley Working Museum which is a 36 acre open-air museum dedicated to the industrial heritage of the South-East and exhibits a narrow gauge railway and a vintage bus service (both of which provide free nostalgic travel around the site). The Museum is also home to traditional crafts people such as a blacksmith and a potter. Special Event days during the year include a Vintage Car Show and a classic motorbikes display.

Stayed here in our caravan recently. What a find. Beautiful setting with wild flower meadow with its many butterflies, varied birdlife & even bats around the pond area. We enjoyed this quiet and peaceful CL set midway (5miles) from Arundel, Chichester, Littlehampton and Bognor. You do need transport though as public transport is over a mile away. We had our e bikes which we made full use of and caught the bus one day (which was worse).... Show more
