Why stay here ...

Welcome to Suakin C.L. We are a small traditional 3rd Generation family site established in 1960, offering 5 grass pitches bordered by fruit trees. Facilities include clean and well organised water/recycling/waste and chemical disposal areas which are regularly inspected and sanitised. Security measures are implemented with a gated site entrance, fenced perimeter, security lighting and on site C.L owner.

Stay at Suakin for an ideal base to explore local attractions, including the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Holy Trinity Church and the Shakespeare Properties. Suakin C.L. is conveniently placed half a mile from Stratford Racecourse and only 1.7 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon town centre. Access this historic market town via the main road footpath or take the rural route following the public footpath along the Greenway and River Avon. Alternatively, a local bus stops outside Suakin taking approximately 7 minutes to Stratford centre.

Suakin C.L. is popular with cyclists and there are many delightful cycle rides, including a visit to the local village of Luddington, which is 1 mile from Suakin and home to a lovely picnic/lock area on the River Avon and an impressive country church dating back to 1872. For the more adventurous, discover the local Stratford to Long Marston 5 mile Greenway route, a former railway line now converted to a high quality path, which is part of the National Cycle Network.

Anne Hathaway's cottage, local pubs and a recently refurbished, well stocked convenience store are all 1 mile from Suakin.

A good network of buses run from Stratford centre to the surrounding areas including Evesham, Bidford, Alcester, Coventry, Warwick and Birmingham.

Please note that Suakin has NO electric hookups, battery charging or electric facilities and outfits are limited to 6m. Dogs are very welcome and owners are entrusted to adhere to CAMC rules in the club handbook regarding pets. A dog waste bin is provided on site.

As We Like It!

Suakin
Sorry, couldn't resist the Shakespeare pun. We've not stayed in Warwickshire before so this was our first introduction. What we loved about this CL was: the generous size of the level pitches feeling of safety and security the easy access to local places by car, bus, bike and foot the peacefulness even though we were within easy reach of a large town and a main road, none of the noise reached the site we could mostly hear birds (although they can be pretty noisy at sunrise!!) the friendliness of the owner with her local knowledge and last, but not least, the shininess of the water tap!

Cracking little site

Suakin
I was going to ‘let go’ of my membership of CAMC but frankly at 15quid a night this cracking little site so close to Stratford Upon Avon has made it worthwhile being a member. Immaculately kept by Barbara who is a very welcoming host and very helpful and environmentally conscious person as well. I thought I had gone deaf it was so peaceful! Nice stroll into Stratford via the racecourse which brings you out by the river/park/marina or bus almost right outside but beware you need the timetable as it’s a rural service.

A little gem

Suakin
Suakin is a beautifully well kept site that offers peace and tranquillity but is only a short distance from Stratford upon Avon with all the main attractions on offer. The surrounding area offers endless walks and cycle rides, a bus stop outside the site into Stratford and the racecourse is only a few minutes walk away. We stayed for only three nights but so wished it had been more. Barbara is a delightful lady who made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions on the where’s and what’s to do. We can’t wait to return.

Such a lovely site

Suakin
We spent two days at this site but could have stayed for a week. Barbara the owner was really friendly and helpful. It was just perfect. Really quiet yet close to everything. Lovely walks straight from the site. Pubs ,and Indian restaurant etc all within a mile. Stratford upon Avon town was 1.7 miles away .Cant wait to go back.We will definitely stay again.

Our first CL stopover.

Suakin
This was our first cl stop and what a great place it is. This is exactly what we were hoping we’d find when we bought our Campervan. Lovely little site within walking or cycling distance from Stratford upon Avon. Facilities spotless and a very nice welcome from Barbara. Only stayed one night travelling back up to Yorkshire but will definitely return for longer and visit Stratford. First class.
