Better than previous review

We were concerned as the previous review was a bit worrying and we had a phone call two nights before arrival to say the lawned area was too wet and would we be happy in the farm yard - we said we would risk it. The welcome was good... Show more

Shocking

This cl site is shocking the field was not in use as it was damp and he had not cut the grass. We were put on the hard standing it was like a builders yard. They were doing building work and thats ok but they should of told us.... Show more

Nice little site

We stayed here a saturday night in August, it is £15 with electric and although 6amp, I was able to use hairdryer/straighteners/ kettle so all was fine. The site is quite small but very pretty with a lovely horse in the next paddock. There is a popular pub very... Show more

We will be back!

This is a lovely clean and tidy caravan site. We were given a warm welcome on arrival. We had a good nights sleep, very peaceful during the night. Our visit was nothing like the previous reviews and we have been before.

Much improved - Ideal location for Gateshead and Surroundings

We have stayed at this site a number of times in the past and I am pleased to report that the camping area is now securely fenced in from the owners dogs. The 5 pitches are spacious and well maintained with good access into adjoining fields ideal for dog walking.... Show more

Below standard site

Booked in April 2017. Despite being told by the owners that the site was quiet, it is next to a noisy busy minor road. It has light slope, which wasn't a problem, but the owners dogs poo on the pitches was. (The site is basically their large front lawn) A cheap... Show more

Disgusted

Stayed on the site for 3 nights so we could visit the local area, as it was perfectly situated for this. It does have a slight slope on the field but nothing to really worry about with blocks. The first night was ok, apart from the 6amp power which you have to... Show more

Dog loo

Stayed here in 2015. Field slopes a lot so little chance of side to side level unless at bottom of site. Only 6 amps which can be difficult. Main problem is dog mess. The owners 2 dogs use it as a loo and left 3 presents around our van, unfortunately... Show more

3 day stay early May 2016

Chose Beldy as the only CL near Newcastle to visit my daughter at uni. We stayed on hard standing but the grass pitch was beautifully kept. A very warm welcome with a spare toilet roll and a cup of milk for a brew. Toilet on site. Fresh eggs £3.00 for... Show more

Gradual slope

We stayed here for the weekend whilst in the area for the great north run , it was a last minute booking as traffic hookups on the m1 meant we would not be at a club site in time to pitch so we changed destination , we were met at... Show more
