Why stay here ...

Garnhams Field is set in 48 acres of a mixture of well mowed grassland with woodland and wild flowers. It is only a 10 minute walk to the market town of Needham, which is host to a vast array of shops, pubs and restaurants and a main line railway station. The site is on routes too, many local walks and bike rides.

Garnhams Field benefits from a well stocked day ticket fishing lake which is onsite and fenced.

Dogs and children are welcome on this site and there is plenty of field to walk or play.

The site is only 5 minutes away from the A14 and has no difficult roads to navigate and an easy access to the site.

The site also benefits from its very own battery powered barista coffee van which sells hot food as well with a 5 star hygiene rating. We are open 5 days a week from 8am - 2pm.

Being in the very heart of Mid-Suffolk there are so many local attractions to visit as well as further a field.

The most visited attraction in Mid-Suffolk is Needham Lake, where you can feed the ducks and the children can play on the park, which is only a 15 minutes walk and the best bit is it's free! All within 30 minutes drive you can visit Felixstowe, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge, Stowmarket, Ipswich and within 45 minutes you can visit Aldeburgh, Ed Sheehan's Framlingham, Lavenham, Flatford Mill and Dedham and many more places of interest.

The Garnham family will extend you a warm welcome on your visit.

A welcome stay

We stayed on Tom and Sues site and what a lovely few days we had. The field is spacious and has everything you need even a seating area under the trees. Unfortunately we didnt get to meet Sue but Tom was there on hand if we needed anything. Our new Motorhome is about 7.5mtrs long so parking can cause us a problem but here you can walk into Needham Market where they have a lovely butchers and bakers that can highly recommend also the railway station is in walking distance. To the left of the station is the cattle tunnel which takes you to Needham Lake also at the lake on a Wednesday and Saturday they have a car boot sale. We didnt need to move thr Motorhome at all. What a fantastic find.

AMAZING Stay!

We weren't sure what to expect for £10.00 a night but WOW what a great place to stay and visit! The field is just so huge and you can literally park up anywhere. Just so much space which is rare these days. I arrived in our motorhome and my husband followed from work in his van. We were initially booked in for 2 nights but end up staying 6. Husband went back to work and myself and our dog stayed. Tom & Sue came and introduced themselves and could not have been more friendly and helpful. We walked into Needham which only took 10 to 15 minutes and enjoyed lunch in one of the pubs. Needham is a lovely place to visit and has everything you need, including a big lake to walk you dog. The field has no electric but ideal for the likes of us who have solar panels etc. There is water available and a section to empty your toilet waste. There is also a fishing lake. There were a few people who turned up to do night fishing but they were quiet and as the field is so big, you don't hear a sound. For £10 a night you really cannot go wrong. We had a great stay and will definitely be back to stay again soon and definitely recommend this place!

Wow! What a find!!

Wow! What a find for the Bank Holiday weekend when everyone else was full-up. Parked up besides the trees in full sunshine after being told to park anywhere. Loads of room for us and both our dogs with great views overlooking the fishing pond and the fields. An easy walk takes you into Needham Market with a nice range of shops and four pubs to choose from. Needham Lake is nearby too and well worth a visit with good coffee and cake to be had at at the cafe. A thoroughly enjoyable stay with a very friendly host Tom, who amkes a good cup of coffee too. We’ll be back!

Spoilt For Space

A new CL on the network. We stayed four nights in this huge mown grass field on the outskirts of Needham Market, set adjacent to farmland and the Gipping valley. The usual amenities plus a few extra touches by the owners. There is also a fenced and gated fishing lake on site. Access from the B1113 is easy and it is about a mile walk to the historic town, pubs, shops, etc. A very good location and dog friendly. No mains hook up but with a solar panel you don't need mains anyway, even for a week or two. TV reception good but we preferred to walk the dog and look for the Barn Owl nearby; Delightful!
