The Long Shop Museum
A museum with a wide range of industrial and agricultural machinery, steam engines and electric vehicles.
View and BookMollett's Farm Certificated Location is a family run site on a small working farm in the heart of the Suffolk Heritage Coastal area. The site is well maintained and accessible in all weather conditions and benefits from additional parking facilities. We are easy to find as the entrance is directly off the A12, just before the Aldeburgh turning, however the site is tranquil as it lies well away from the road.
The site is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area either by foot, bicycle or car. We are a short drive from the beautiful towns of Framingham with its medieval castle, Woodbridge, home to the Anglo-Saxon burial ground of Sutton Hoo as well as many other historical buildings of interest and a delightful array of shops and restaurants and the seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh, which is just six mile away, with its world famous concert hall of Snape Maltings just a five minute drive away which also offers a shopping complex and some lovely eateries. So exploring Suffolk's heritage Coast using Mollett's Farm as your base is ideal.
We have lovely local shops and farm shops as well as supermarkets all within easy reach. The local farm shop is a five minute walk across the fields from the site. In addition Farm produce is often available upon request.
The local railway station is in Saxmundham our nearest town, a five minute drive, and goes to Lowestoft, the most easterly point in the UK and gateway to the Broads as well as providing easy access to Ipswich our county town.
The Latitude Festival on the Henham Estate in July is also within easy reach. Aldeburgh, the home of the composer Benjamin Britten, also hosts numerous musical events throughout the year.
Locally there are many restaurants and pubs in the surrounding towns and villages as well as numerous other historical sites and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Mollett's Farm Certified Location is within easy reach of Minsmere (RSPB) and Orford (National Trust) nature reserves. If you are a dog owner and lover then there are lovely walks up at Dunwich as well as round the Maltings, indeed it is walking distance from the site across beautiful countryside.
With a packed calendar of events in Suffolk throughout the year there is something to please everyone.
Car charging available on site at a cost (see pricing notes) also available at Co-op, Wickham Market (7 kW Fast Charger).

Enough space to fit 5 outfits with separate electric supply boxes. Owner provided local tourist guides which was a nice touch. Sutton Hoo well worth a visit and only 20 minutes away. Plenty of beach options quite local.

Just spent 10 days at this site covering two weekends. Arrived on the Friday and all well and good. At 5.45am on the 1st Saturday morning we were woken by car engines, voices and laughter. This went on for around 30 mins or so before falling silent again. Later on... Show more

Just had 4 nights at Mollets Farm. A nicely situated CL with basic but very adequate facilities. Access is easy but the A12 is a very busy road. The CL is well away from the road so noise is not a problem. We didn’t see the owner but telephone contact... Show more

We have just returned from a long weekend at Mollett’s Farm and enjoyed the experience as much as we have done on previous visits over recent years. The site itself is nicely self contained, surrounded by hedges, but with good views of the adjacent countryside. It is close to Aldeburgh... Show more

We can’t believe we haven’t stayed at this site before now, how have we missed it ? It is everything we like about a CL site, along a long driveway off the A12, set back in it’s own spacious space with walks from site, we chose the well worn paths... Show more
