Night 1 farm dog in cage barked all night. Nights 2 & 3 same problem with dog, then very noisy, heavy farm machinery working in the yard from 5am Morning of departure, (10am) ignorant man on lawn mower insisting on mowing as close as posible right round the van, dispite the rest... Show more

This is the nearest CL to the beautiful village of Orford. There is a pleasant public footpath from the site. The site is very small and is not an adult only site, therefore if children are staying there, they have little room to play without disturbing others. The views (we... Show more

This site is in a lovely location with beautiful views and only about a mile to the water. It is on a working farm which is not a problem and I would give it full marks but for the farm dog.... This dog is in an outside kennel in the farmyard... Show more

Pros … * Quiet. * Large area. * Reasonably flat. * Good mobile signal on Three. * Lovely walk over the fields and along by the river to Orford. Jolly Sailor in Orford serves good meals. This is a lovely quiet small field perfectly positioned for a walk along Orford Ness. The ferry from Orford Ness only runs in the summer, you can walk from Aldeburgh on to the Orford Ness spit partly but when we visited in January the spit itself was shut so not... Show more

We found this a quiet site, 20 mins walk into Orford along a lane or a footpath through fields. Yes there is a distant bird scarer but not till after 8am and this is a working farm! Payment is left in an envelope in the back porch of the Hall.... Show more
