View and BookWelcome to Maffett Marine, a tranquil spot where the beauty of the broads can be explored and enjoyed.
Maffett Marine site is set in the beautiful surroundings of Oulton Broad. The river hosts sailing and power boats racing across the river, on a weekly basis throughout the season, which can be admired from the comfort of the site.
Across from the Oulton Broad, Nicholas Everitt Park is perfect for a stroll; to stop for a coffee and to feed the ducks, duck food can be purchased from the local business around the park. Nicholas Everitt Park hosts the Lowestoft Museum inside Broad House where there is a collection of treasures to see and also a Yacht Club and a Water Sport Centre offering sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.
Visit Waveney Tours for an organised river cruise tour, to relax along the Broads and take in the delights of the wildlife. If you fancy hiring a day boat and exploring at your leisure, you can stop off at 1 or 2 of the many pubs along the river.
The site is conveniently situated close to bus stops and a train station to venture further out, and Lowestoft offers high street shops and a beautiful sandy beach.
There are local restaurants close by, such as The Wherry Hotel and The Commodore, shops, salons and fast-food options and the site benefits from secure parking.
At the end of the day, kick back, relax and admire the stunning sunset gleaming across the river. It really is the perfect spot to take a well-earned break.
