View and BookThe site, which has been open for nearly 40 years, is situated to the west of the A140 with very good access. There is room to pull off the highway before driving through the wide gates onto the site from the road.
Thornham Parva is a small quiet hamlet of around 25 houses, and there is also a Grade 1 listed picturesque thatched church.
The site has electric hook ups, together with water and all the necessary waste disposal facilities. Free Wi-Fi. The site is level and lawned, friendly pet sheep graze nearby, but not on the site. Children and pets are always welcome. The site is open from 1 March to 31 October each year. Motorhomes and caravans catered for. There is plenty of space available for awnings and no extra charges for pets, awnings, extra vehicles, visitors, number of people, etc.
The site is situated in a beautiful part of Suffolk, with the historic market town of Eye just 2.5 miles to the east and close by are 12 miles of footpaths known as the Thornham Walks. The site is well situated to explore the surrounding area ie the coast, such as Southwold or Aldeburgh or to the west Thetford Forest, and is almost equal distance from Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Norwich. It is an ideal area for cycling. Leaflets are available on local attractions, walks, and cycle routes. The market town of Diss just across the county border in Norfolk has several large supermarkets and smaller retail outlets.
Fishing is available at a few locations, some less than a mile from the site, with a golf course within five miles.
There are several country pubs and restaurants in the locality, some within walking distance.
Children are welcome.
