Tamworth Certificated Locations

Tamworth was once the capital of the Kingdom of Mercia and offers some great historic attractions to visit.

The most impressive evidence of its historical status comes in the form of Tamworth Castle, a Norman motte and Bailey bastion.

Family fun is easy to have in and around Tamworth, whether snowboarding in the Snowdome, enjoying Drayton Manor Theme Park or seeing the animals at Twycross Zoo.

Tamworth is also just a few miles from Lichfield with its grand and historic cathedral, and 15 miles from the centre of Birmingham. The northern parts of the city are closer still, with Sutton Park on Sutton Coldfield offering huge open spaces and lots of wildlife.
