View and BookSky View CL is located in Staffordshire Moorlands near the border of the Peak District National Park. As it's situated approximately 300 meters above sea level it offers spectacular panoramic views to the east and west over surrounding areas such as Leek, The Roaches, Wildboarclough, Macclesfield Forest, The Mermaid, Cheddleton and as far as The Wrekin, Welsh Mountains and the Cheshire Plain.
Sky View CL is a small quiet site that consists of five luxury hardstanding generous sized flat pitches finished in decorative cream stone, each with its own landscaped lawn, every pitch is individually fully serviced with 16-amp electric hook up, drinking water and a grey water drain so you can enjoy your stay on a self-contained pitch without the bother of filling aqua rollers and emptying grey water waste tanks. The site is also equipped with a modern clean chemical toilet disposal point.
The site is home to a small flock of breeding pedigree Shetland sheep which lamb around the beginning of April, our sheep are friendly and enjoy being fed by hand.
The tranquil setting of the Staffordshire Moorlands surrounding fields often offer the sights and sounds of nesting moorland birds such as skylarks, curlews, lapwings and partridges.
Within walking distance is the village of Biddulph Moor which offers two traditional country pubs, a post office, generous convenience store, a chemist and a children's park with zip wire, or if you prefer, the Shippon Tea Rooms, and Butterlands Equestrian centre are also only a short walk away. A short drive away are several nearby towns including Biddulph, Congleton and Leek with supermarkets, petrol stations, shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways.
During your stay you may want to take advantage of some of the many local footpaths through the beautiful surrounding Staffordshire countryside that offer various terrain and distances to suit everyone's taste.
You may wish to take a short drive to nearby attractions such as Biddulph Grange Country Park and National Trust Gardens, Rudyard Lake, Greenway Bank Country Park, Tittesworth Water, Manifold Cycle and Walking Trail, Churchet Valley Steam Railway, Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre, Rode Hall and Gardens, Little Morerton Hall, various pottery museums, Trentham Gardens and Trentham Monkey Forest to name a few.
If you need something to keep the kids happy we are in easy travelling distance to places like Alton Towers, Gulliver's Kingdom, Waterworld, Chester Zoo and various indoor play centres and cinema's.
On arrival the owners Rob and Claire offer a warm welcome and are happy to help with any information you require to help you to make your visit as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
