Best farm shop ever!

Water Buffalo Farm
We chose this site because of its proximity to Yeovil golf club - hubby had a match and I fancied a day of chilling. A lovely welcome from Jayne and her team in the farm shop. And what a farm shop! I absolutely love genuine buffalo mozzarella and was not disappointed. The two steaks that we had on our BBQ were equally delicious. Freshly mown and completely flat field with excellent access from the A37 so no need to manoeuvre the van at all. EHU at each pitch with a shared water tap - however, we were on our own so could hook up our hose directly. Sadly we didn't get to see the water buffalos as they were out to pasture a field away. We had a quick trip into Sherborne, just a fifteen minute drive away - definitely worth a visit - the Abbey is beautiful. And our visit to East Lambrook Manor gardens was lovely - despite the rain. Preceded by a fab breakfast at Cafe Licious in South Petherton, this started our free day off well. Evening meal at Khun Goi - a new Thai restaurant in Yeovil topped of our stay - outstanding food. Inevitably there was some background road noise, because of the A37 being a busy route - but this site is absolutely perfect for travellers using the A303 who need a stop over to break a long journey.

Over and above the call of duty

Water Buffalo Farm
We have just returned from a week’s holiday at this lovely site. We visited Haynes Motor Museum, The RN Museum Yeovilton, Sherbourne and it’s Castle, Montecute House and Ham Hill before falling victim to a pothole on a walk. Jayne couldn’t have been more helpful and sympathetic for which we are eternally grateful. If you like an active holiday, this is an area with lots to do on the doorstep. Once again, many thanks

Beautiful water buffalo

Water Buffalo Farm
Delightful site and owner Jayne. Curious water buffalo calves came to greet us in adjoining field. Basic site, water, EHU elsan. Also farm shop selling tasty water buffalo products. Lovely, would come again.

Nice site, pity there were no buffalo

Water Buffalo Farm
We used this site as an overnight stop on our way to Cornwall. It was an excellent choice. A friendly and warm welcome, nice tidy site, very peaceful. Unfortunately there were no buffalo to be seen, which was a bit of a disappointment. Apparently they were elsewhere on another farm. We bought some steak, sausages, burgers from the farm shop which were very nice. I think we will go back some time and spend a bit longer and explore the surrounding area a bit.

Perfect for a stop over and longer stays.

Water Buffalo Farm
We stopped at West Country Water Buffallo Farm for one night on our way to a wedding. We would certainly go back. The site is level with electricity and water on each pitch. The welcome was friendly. On site there is a farm shop selling the best buffalo steaks we have tasted. After stocking up on more delicious products, burgers, mozerella, buffalo ice-cream, we were ready to leave. We visited Fleet Airarm Museum, which is only 3 miles away. I would certainly reccomend this site for short or longer stays.
