A great stay!

We stayed here for two nights with our two dogs and had a lovely time. It was very quiet, apart from the occasional cawing of crows—though that shouldn’t put you off at all. Tracy, the owner, was very helpful and made it easy for us to pay by BACS, so... Show more

A bit of care needed

I was touring the area so only stayed one night at this site. The large camping field is slightly sloped but the 2 electric points are along the fence at the bottom of the field. Therefore those who want hook up have to congregate in that area. The water point... Show more

OK but ......

This is a nice site with potential. It's peaceful enough and located centrally for some interesting places. For me it needs more water points. I had to walk quite a distance to the 1 point for water. The chemical disposal and waste bins are even further away. The main house... Show more

Second review

This is my second review of this site, the first time I said we would return...and we did!! We had been e-mailed by the owner saying the site was wet after recent rain, but with 4WD we should be ok. As it happens the site was fine, the rain stopped and... Show more

Wet field!!

Site only had gravelled entrance through field gate. Stopped 10 meters into field to check ground as hookup was lower part of site only to see van sinking into ground. Had to phone owner who kindly organised a farmer to pull us out the field with his tractor. Can’t pass any... Show more

Almost Perfect

We were a little disappointed as we had been trying to contact the owner to book in but never got her to answer nor did we get a call back. As it was September we hoped the site would have room and continued to Washford, then onto the very... Show more

A pleasant 18 day break

My wife and I found the site to be very well maintained and have all the necessary requirements , although there is a road passing on one boundary the traffic is light , the WC is rural but very clean and adequate and lovely walks for the dog , on... Show more

Rather rude site manager

Phoned ahead to make a booking and left ansaphone message ( no prob), on arrival just pitched up and hoped all was ok. Very casually a man wandered past watering newly planted trees, no distant greeting , no nothing. I made the first opening conversation asking if he was the... Show more

Peaceful site

The site is easy to find and access is straightforward. The approach road is quite narrow, but with plenty of passing places. We were the only van on site for the whole stay, which was surprising. The site is a large flat field, with electric points along the fence. There... Show more
