The Helicopter Museum
World’s largest collection includes WW2 Era Pilots Block, Gunship, oldest helicopter in the world and more.
View and BookThe Cl is set in a paddock adjoining our home. Level grass pitches are available on both sides of the paddock with hook-ups (10 amps). Access is easy for all size vehicles through a wide gateway. Anti slip terran has been added to pitches and track way to help in poor weather.
The amenities consist of recycle bins, water tap, and a chemical closet point which is on the mains sewerage. There is also a metal bin for used BBQ coals. We have an adjoining grass tennis court with BBQ area and a hut with information on the immediate local area and wider district. Some Tennis racquets and balls are available for use.
TV reception is good here but you will need your own WiFi. EE is the best mobile WiFi in this area.
We are in the heart of the countryside situated next to a working farm surrounded by farmland so dogs need to be on a lead and under control. The village has a network of footpaths and lanes with grass verges which are suitable for dog walking with leads.
The parish of Kingston Seymour is situated on the North Somerset Levels between the towns of Clevedon and Weston-Super-Mare. The shore of the Severn Estuary forms its western boundary. The village itself is a small active community with a population of approximately 400 residents, with an ancient Church and Village Hall around which many of its events revolve. The Bridge Inn, a Hungry Horse Restaurant is situated at the approach to Kingston Seymour and includes a large children's indoor soft play area.
Tesco, Asda, Lidl and Aldi can all be found at Clevedon (4 miles) which also has a range of independent specialist shops. There is a good selection of pubs, restaurants and food takeaways at Clevedon, which is a quaint, picturesque, Victorian seaside resort (pebbles only), with a famous grade one listed pier and the oldest working cinema in the world (The Curzon).
Nearby to Kingston is Yatton (2.5 miles). This has a Co-Op and small selection of independent shops, post office, takeaways, eating places and pubs. There is also a mainline railway station which is very useful for connections to Bristol, Bath and Weston-Super-Mare.
Buses run regularly from Clevedon and Yatton to Portishead, Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and surrounding districts. Vehicles can always be parked at unrestricted parking places in both Clevedon or Yatton to use the bus services.
Kingston Seymour village and the wider district are excellent for walking, cycling and course fishing. There are plenty of opportunities for golfing within 3 to 4 miles. The Seawall with views over to Wales is only a 20 minute walk from the CL. Nature and bird watchers will find much to satisfy themselves because the rhynes, ditches and hedgerows support abundant wildlife.
We are excellently situated for the West Country attractions of Bristol, Bath, Weston-super-Mare, Cheddar, Wells and the Mendip Hills. Nearby are the National Trust properties of Tyntesfield House and Clevedon Court. Family days out include Brunel's SS Great Britain Museum ship, Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, Bristol Zoo and the open air heated Lido at Portishead.

What a lovely site, we stayed for 3 nights on our way back from Cornwall, but a one night stay would also be good as it's not too far from the M5. We went on walks, from the site, and also called at the little cafe around the corner, owl... Show more

We stayed here to break our 380 mile journey from Yorkshire to Cornwall, but spent two nights to give us a full day there. The area is fascinating, being the edge of the Somerset Levels, with drainage ditches 'rhynes' all around, and though we visited Clevedon two years ago we... Show more
