View and BookUpland's CL occupies a most secluded position in an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the edge of the Mendip hills, surrounded by unspoilt countryside. A long tree lined drive preserves a rare tranquillity in our 36 acres of mature landscaped grounds. Woodland forms the back drop and shelters a vast amount of wildlife.
Our CL is situated a short distance from the delightful village of Winscombe which is host to numerous shops including a butchers, bakery and Co-op. The village also boasts an impressive selection of takeaways including a fish and chip shop, Chinese, Indian and kebab house. There is also a selection of fantastic restaurants a short walk away including Thatcher's famous Railway Inn.
The popular strawberry line walking and cycling path which links Cheddar and Congresbury is situated at the end of the lane providing fantastic walking and cycling opportunities for any age or ability. Uplands is placed perfectly for anyone who wishes to explore the local attractions or just relaxing in the beautiful grounds and enjoying the facilities on offer such as the swimming pool and tennis court. We stayed on this site in September 2024 and the site is beautiful, plenty of room and so peaceful. The access road is narrow and could be an issue if two caravans met on some of the worst part but we didn’t face that issue. The showers/toilets could really do... Show more

We used this site as an overnight on our way South to Devon. Narrow lane from road to Winscombe but quite short so no problems. Approach down driveway a little overgrown for our height of van… Clearly signposted to touring area and instructions for pitching and contacting owners were fixed to... Show more

We stay here predominantly because of its location to the Strawberry line cycle way. The site is spotless, lawns well kept. There is a slight slope downwards so you may need to fully extend your jockey wheel, there are extra blocks if needed. There is an on-site swimming pool, that is supposed... Show more

This is a very nice quiet place to stay. We were the only ones on site and out of season. Lots of lovely walks right on the door step. About a 15 minute walk to nearest pub.

What a lovely, peaceful site. Very spacious pitches. A great base to go explore Somerset. The strawberry line is just at the end of the lane and a fabulous bike route. We stayed 4 nights and will most definitely be returning.
