Why stay here ...

The site is on a ‘hobby’ farm where we keep alpacas and a horse. The site is in an idyllic rural setting on the Shropshire/Welsh border. The pitches are located on a secluded meadow. There is plenty of room for playing games and the site is suitable for family holidays.

The site is close to the Shropshire Union Canal and you can fish or launch your canoe from our fields. Whixall National Nature Reserve is a short walk away. Whitchurch is two miles away and it is a pleasant canal walk to the Ancient market town. We are a half hour drive from Shrewsbury and Chester.

We have renovated our Old Blacksmiths and it is now a high quality holiday let for two people, which gives friends and families the opportunity of booking up joint holidays. The site is dog friendly.

Very Quiet with Active Insect Life!!

We initially turned into the main farmyard as that's where the sign is but, although we couldn't find anyone to ask, we did then see the meadow over the road. Having parked up we went in search of the owner, but when we did find her she seemed rather... Show more

We parked in the meadow and it is very peaceful, the owner is friendly and helpful and you don't need to book in advance. There are no toilet or shower facilities. The area is good for cycling on the quiet back lanes. We also saw a barn owl fly over the... Show more
