Why stay here ...

Edgmond Park is situated on the edge of the small Tranquil Shropshire village of Edgmond. The Parish of Edgmond sits in the north east of the Shropshire countryside, approximately 3 miles from Newport and 12 miles from Telford and the historic town of Wellington. With its proximity to many places of interest.

In the village we have a shop, two pubs, The Lion and The Lamb. There is a post office housed in the village stores in the High Street. All of these amenities help to create a sense of community and provide a place to chat and exchange news.

There is a bus stop at the end of the lane that goes into the small market town of Newport which has lots of quiant shops and an indoor market every Friday, which makes it a perfect day out. The main bus terminal is also situated in the town centre. The rural location is perfect for nature lovers and ideal for walking and biking.

Disappointed

Edgmond Park
Ok for where we wanted to be, but scruffy and we wouldn’t return. Had arranged to arrive between 12/1pm. Got a txt from Courtney at 11.45 asking for an exact arrival time as she needed to go out. Said sat nav saying 12.45 but traffic was very heavy and we were still 65 miles away, but I would txt her when we were closer. Got another txt at 12.45 asking where we were. Explained we would be there at 1.15. Then asked for balance to be transferred before we arrived otherwise the gate would be locked. Not exactly a friendly welcome! We had booked a hard standing pitch but put on pitch 1 which was grass. The shower/toilet on the outside was scruffy and looked like it was falling to bits, but was ok on the inside. Never met Courtney as she didn’t introduce herself so can’t comment on how friendly she is. On the plus side it was a quiet site with very little road noise. We have stayed on lots of CL’s and this is the only one we wouldn’t return to.

A quiet place in the country.

Edgmond Park
It's a nice, quiet, small friendly site. Courtney couldn't have been more helpful and was a bit of a laugh. It was to see the horses in the paddock. We would recommend it. Thanks for the doughnuts Courtney xx

What a Hidden Gem

Edgmond Park
What a gem we found here. We booked for a 2 night stay at this site, it is lovely we rang Courtney before hand and she opened the gate for us on arrival the site is very safe and has a few residential caravans on it. Access is very good and the views are amazing we had a lovely time our dog loved it and our granddaughter. There is a toilet and shower on site which is very clean although could do with updating, nobody bothers you at all. The site owners are very pleasant and very helpful, we enjoyed it so much that we booked an extra night. Thanks for a lovely stay

Very friendly and accommodating hosts, lovely site.

Edgmond Park
Courtney was very helpful when booking making our booking. She got in touch ahead of us travelling to wish us a safe journey, check eta and then met us at the gate. Once there we were explained about where we could park up. The camping green was a lovely open space with lovely views! Kids could play around with plenty rooms. Quiet, tranquil space with no sound of passing traffic at any point. We booked back on to stay again the following week, checking with owners if they were happy for us to leave the caravan which they were for a reasonable price. The site were securely locked. We’ve already booked to return again next month. The owners were very helpful and pleasant checking making sure we were ok throughout our stay. Some of the nicest hosts we’ve come across yet. Thank you both.

Lovely peaceful setting

Edgmond Park
Courtney met us at the gate and welcomed us in. The site had wonderful views over beautiful countryside, and was so peaceful and relaxing we loved sitting, listening to all the birds and watching the horses. There was only one toilet/shower which could be an issue if the site was full but we were lucky that it was quiet when we stayed and it didn’t affect us. Owners very friendly and helpful with good communication prior to arrival.
