Sulgrave Manor & Garden
Home of George Washington's English ancestors, all ages will enjoy this exclusive historical manor and garden.
View and BookFamily-run, dog-friendly site between the villages of Great Bourton and Cropredy in North Oxfordshire. A well kept site in the countryside but only a 15 minute drive from junction 11 of the M40 motorway. Access to the pitches (which are neatly mowed areas on a ridge-and-furrow meadow) is through a digitally locked gate, so you can be sure of a high level of security. EHU to each pitch and 2 fresh water points.
The location makes this site a handy spot for motorway stopovers, but there’s plenty around to please those who choose to stay longer too. A 10 minute walk to Cropredy’s pubs, cafés and shop. Several circular walks from the site. The Oxford Canal and River Cherwell run through Cropredy and a short drive will get you out into the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for more walks, plus golf courses, fishing lakes and National Trust estates.
Local attractions and activities include:
Our horses and donkeys are kept in the fields below the site. Ringo and Conker the donkeys are always keen to meet our guests – just ask when you see us tending to the animals at either end of the day.
In the main this is a peaceful site, but it's worth noting that a rail line passes fairly close by so you may hear a bit of noise from the pitches – you may be lucky and see a Steam Train!
