Abingdon Certificated Locations

Also known as Abingdon-on-Thames, this market town in England's rural Oxfordshire offers a charming mixture of old and new, with plenty of history, architecture and natural beauty.

Just a few hundred yards from the town centre, you'll find the lovely riverside walk, which follows the River Thames. Medieval bridges cross the river, and there's also the medieval wharf of St Helens.

If you prefer to do a bit of shopping, head to Market Place and browse the market stalls and local shops. Music festivals and annual events are also held here throughout the year - including the town's 400-year-old bun-throwing competition.
