View and BookReceive a warm welcome on arrival at our CL. It is set in a walled, lawned paddock on our working livestock farm. It is level and well maintained and has electric hook-ups and recycling facilities. The site is quiet and sheltered.
We are fortunate enough to be situated in the heart of the beautiful Northumberland countryside surrounded by historic landscapes and dramatic views and an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful county.
Nearby, Bolam Lake Country Park(1m) offers peaceful lakeside walks and mature woodland where you may glimpse red squirrels.Shaftoe Crags(1m) a pleasant walk onto the high ground to the west of the site with fantastic rock formations and wonderful views over woods, valleys and fine farm land. Belsay Hall, Castleand Gardens(English Heritage) (3m) country house renowned for its most extraordinary picturesque garden landscapes.Wallington Hall(National Trust) (3m) country house and gardens set in rolling parkland with a wooded dene, ornamental lakes, lawns and walled garden.Cragside House, Gardens and Woodland(National Trust) (14m) was the country home of Lord Armstrong, Victorian inventor and industrialist and the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power.
Further afield are the beautiful market towns,Morpeth(10m),Hexham(20m) and Alnwick(30m) with its stunning medieval castle and exciting contemporary gardens and tree house. To the south (15m) Hadrian's Wall, the most popular tourist attraction in Northern England, witness spectacular views, explore natural wilderness and become immersed in the history of the Romans."

Just spent a very peaceful 10 nights at this lovely CL. John met us on arrival and was extremely friendly and helpful with local knowledge and advice. The fresh eggs and the sausages went down very well too. The site is peaceful and scenic with excellent walking opportunities for dogs.... Show more

Just spent a week at this fab CL site. Very hospitable owner and son. Good access to places to visit, very quiet and spacious pitches. Neat, tidy and clean. Fresh eggs available (thanks Harry) - no hesitation in returning.

A very quiet and peaceful site with adequate space for all. Lots to see and do locally. Pleasant dog walk two minutes away along a bridlepath and lots of areas around to explore with dogs. Highly recommend this site and friendly owner. Site has easy access to tap... Show more
