Nice friendly CL

Five Willows Farm
On arrival met by a secured gate, you get the code when you book. Nice tree lined site with a slight slope. Owners are very nice and helpful. Would recommend and we would use again.

great overnight site, possibly not a long term holiday place

Five Willows Farm
so... a great CL site, as they all are. a little noisy as the site is near the main road, but far enough not to get annoying overnight. my main issue is that here are no dog walks from the site and it is very close to an old quarry; so the quarry and the main road, lock this site into an area of no long walks without negotiating, one, or the other. Saying that, the owner is a great, the shower and loo (only one of each) are clean and modern and the pitches are clean and level ( a slight slope but levelling blocks sort it). stay if passing through as a lovely site, but not one to explore the area from on foot. sorry, hope that doesn't offend.

Best Site in the area

Five Willows Farm
We have just booked our Seventh annual stay here. It is a very friendly CL with toilet, shower, washing up facility and plenty of hot water. It is surrounded by mature trees. There is a slight traffic hum when the wind is from the North but it's not intrusive. We love this site and have no need to try other sites in the area. The owners allow you to do your own thing but are always on hand for help and advice.

A lovely site

Five Willows Farm
We have just booked our fourth annual stay here. It is a friendly CL with toilet, shower, washing up facility and plenty of hot water. It is surrounded by mature trees. As stated, there is some traffic noise, especially weekday mornings, but it is very far from being the noisiest site we've been to. We love this site and have no need to try other sites in the area.

Not happy caravanners

Five Willows Farm
We spent 2 night at this local site as we wanted to try out our van before a longer holiday. Facilities etc as already described but there is a quarry/waste site in the vicinity and access is from a road just passed the CL site entrance so heavy lorries use the No through road from early in the morning. There was a traffic hum from the nearby A14 which we tended not to notice during the day but which could be heard during the night. The lady in charge appeared at our caravan a couple of hours after we arrived and demanded our membership card and upfront payment for our stay. We received no welcome and she showed no interest in us apart from wanting our money. In 27 years of CL use we have never encountered this attitude before. When booking I asked if I could bring an extra car and was told everything was extra. We did not therefore feel we could tell our son to drive over as it was unsafe to leave his car on the road outside because of the lorries and we felt we would be charged if he brought it onto the site. I even felt obliged to explain he was just visiting when we sat outside having a cup of tea and she came over as otherwise I felt sure she would charge us for him being there. We did not like this attitude and will definitely not be visiting this site again.
