Why stay here ...

Welcome to Pasture Farm CL site!

We are a lovely rural and peaceful CL with far reaching views over beautiful countryside. The CL is situated off a quiet country lane with 2 acres of flat mown grassland. It has easy access.

We are located on the outskirts of a traditional pretty Yorkshire village but have the benefit of being only a 10 minute drive to Monks Cross shopping centre and only 8 miles east of the historic and beautiful city of York.
We are 5 miles from Castle Howard and the Howardian Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. The costal towns of Bridlington, Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are also all within an hours drive.

We charge £20 a night including electricity. There are plenty of countryside walks available from the doorstep and we welcome children and friendly dogs.
We look forward to meeting you.

Another fine stay

Pasture Farm
I've been coming to this site many times over the years and intend to for many more. It's spacious, well kept and most of all in a quiet tranquil area with a few sleepy villages nearby. It's also ideally located within a short distance of the A64 and quite central to York, Malton, Flamingo Land, Pickering and other scenic towns and villages nearby. The site owner is very helpful and friendly. I generally come here with my son and it's always a little sad when it's time to go home, but look forward to returning as it always keeps its charm.

Peaceful and very pleasant site, just some electric issues

Pasture Farm
This is an ideal CL in many ways, spacious and well-mown, on a quiet lane near an attractive village, with easy access from A64 but also perfect for cycle rides around the surrounding area. I was not sure what to expect however, as there have only been two reviews submitted in the last seven years, none since 2017, and the site entry itself needs updating. Our arrival was somewhat problematic in that we could not get power to the caravan, but as we had just had a serious electrical fault with our caravan and a part replaced during its service, we assumed it was still not corrected, but eventually realised that it was the hook up point itself that was faulty, and the third socket did work. Sarah came to see us when I reported the issue, and the electrician, who had already been earlier, was called again. On the second day, being the only outfit there, we decided to move to a more open pitch, to find that the other hook up point also had one non working socket. Overall though, once we had our power issues sorted, we had a very pleasant stay. Sarah did require full payment on booking, which was no problem, but perhaps could be mentioned on the CAMC website entry.

Lovely quiet location

Pasture Farm
Super stopover for 2 nights whilst visiting York. Access and facilities all very good. The ground was a little soft, but with grip mats and a push we got moving! (I'm sure it will be okay in dryer weather though). We used the park and ride which was straightforward and convenient on the Saturday and visited the Yorkshire air museum on Sunday. The owners were helpful via email. We'd recommend this lovely, peaceful CL to others.

A Holiday at Last!

Pasture Farm
Having decided at the very last moment to have a break, I spoke to John on the Monday morning and arrived on the Wednesday morning at 9.30. The site is well placed for trips out into the local area. Lovely and peaceful if you wish to stay on site for the day.
