when we arrived the grass had Not been cut for a while & their where lumps in the grass, as it was wet we got stuck going up the field, so we had to use the motor mover so I recommend anyone going to this site to drive a 4x4.... Show more

Ferndale Farm is an excellent base, a very quiet site despite its location, just off the A174, only 8-10 mins from Whitby town The CL itself is basic, the ground is an inclined field, water and waste disposal, elsan, that's about it. All you need for off-grid R&R. You'll possibly... Show more

We only stayed here for one night in June and were given a warm welcome. You will need levellers/ chocks as the site is slightly sloping and a grass field rather than a lawn! The facilities for water and waste disposal are good and well maintained This is an excellent base for... Show more

Although basic, this cl was well organised for water and waste disposal. There is no electricity but as we have a solar panel we do not need to be plugged in. The bus from Middlesbrough to Whitby goes every half hour during the week and we used it to go... Show more

We booked a ten night stay. Since the start of lockdown this was our first holiday this year. On site we use a combination of solar and wind-charging power to maintain our 12 volt battery. The on site facilities are recycling, very user friendly. This user friendliness... Show more

Don't normally write reviews but for the first time ever we felt we needed to do this. Fabulous site. Great views. Easy access to Whitby and Sandsend and lots of interesting walks. Site is great for dog owners as lots of public footpaths nearby although some not used... Show more

We have just returned from a week at this CL this was our first time on this site but we hope its not our last , we were welcomed by the owner told where stuff was on the site and got our first lot of water and carried it... Show more

A nice quiet site with panoramic views of the north York moors I came for Easter weekend ended up staying a week to explore the countryside and heartbeat country there is some nice b-roads if you have a bicycle or motorbike the owners were really helpful and friendly made me... Show more
