View on mapThe CL is open from Easter - end of September approximately.
Smugglers Rock CL is a quiet site set in a field adjacent to our holiday cottages. In the surrounding fields are a variety of sheep, Shetland ponies and highland cattle. We are located in the small coastal village of Ravenscar in the North York Moors National Park. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding countryside and sea from close by. You can also visit the seal colony in Ravenscar. The site is set on a 1 acre site and the pitches are lawned (with reinforced matting) and well spaced. All pitches have a grey water drainage and a fresh water tap. Electric hook-ups to each pitch and wi-fi available.
New for 2019 - Serviced pitches (electric hook up, water and grey water disposal) and plenty of space for awnings.
Well-behaved dogs (max. 2) and children are welcome at the site. Maximum of 5 people (including children) in each unit.
Sorry but we are unable to accept any large motorhomes over 7.5 metres.
We are 10 miles from Scarborough, 12 miles from Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay, and close to the North York Moors villages including Pickering, Grosmont and Goathland ('Heartbeat' country). All of these destinations are easily accessible from the site. We are also ideally situated for walking and cycling along the beautiful Yorkshire coastline. The coast to coast walk and the Cleveland Way both run through the village as does the old railway line from Scarborough to Whitby which is now a popular walkway. There is a limited local bus service (not Sundays) across the road which serves Scarborough. There are several good pubs within 5 miles, which offer great food, and the nearest beach access to the site is 2 miles.
Also available for non-camping family members we have self catering cottages.
Live online availability and instant booking can be done through our Website. Click on the link above.

We stayed here for 9 nights in May. The site is well situated and extremely well maintained. It is only a shortish walk to the National Trust centre in the village and to another tea room further on. Relatively easy access to Scarborough, Whitby and inland. Very easy access to... Show more

About half a mile outside of Ravenscar centre this is an exceptionally presented and well-run site with easy access. We appreciated the location for easy access to the long-distance off'road cycle route (the Cinder Track) between Scarborough and Whitby, being located exactly midway between the two towns. This track is... Show more
