Ideal location for Croft

Deepdale
Booked this CL for perfect location to Croft Circuit and added bonus of shared toilet on site. Luckily we arrived as the owner was checking in another MH so didn't need to report to the house. I would have had to ring otherwise as barking dog of the gate.. not great foe non dog lovers. Lovely site, shown to a selection of pitches, mains and separate tap for our use. Perfect, no need to fill MH up before pitching. Very peaceful, small amount of road noise from A1 but minimal. Only downside, 2 toilets available and not clean!! Appreciate members should be more considerate and clean up behind them but after 24hrs still nothing done. Not sure how often these are checked.. Location perfect for our use but nothing in vicinity so would either need a car or have to take MH to visit local area.

Diamond in North Yorkshire

Deepdale
Omg. What a find. Stayed for two nights but hope to be back within the month. The loveliest welcome, any help we needed was never too much trouble. Perfectly mowed grass pitch, with lots of space between pitches. 15 foot hedge protecting us from the elements, a real sun trap. Scorton village has 2 great food and drinking pubs, we went to the Farmers Arms for a great meal. Shop in the village which is about 2 miles away sells every thing you may have forgotten. Walked round Scorton Lakes, the old quarry site, absolutely full of flowers and bird life. A beautiful track onto site that is less than 1/4 of a mile long with one bend and you can see any traffic approaching. In laws joined us Saturday for a BBQ and there was no issue with guests or parking. The gardens are immaculately kept and as long as you don't use a ground sheet or let your dog roam I would recommend this site to all generations. Absolutely no noise except for the pheasant on a morning and many rabbits nibbling the grass! Toilets are clean and a god send for emergency poos. Can't wait to return!

Beautiful and easily accessible

Deepdale
We stayed at Deepdale for one night on route to the Lake District. The owner Patricia was very lovely and helpful when we called to enquire regarding availability for that same evening. The site is located just off the motorway andvery easy to find following the instructions on the club website (the last part of the road is a narrower single lane, however it isn't very long before you reach the site entrance and we had no issues with our single axle touring caravan) We were met by a friendly gentleman who showed us to the pitches and gave us a choice of where we wanted to stay as there were only two other caravans on at the time. Our pitch in the corner (number 1) was quite level so no blocks needed. The site is beautiful with fruit trees and tall hedges and there are central electric hook up points offered between the pitches. The price on the site does need to be updated as it is now £14 per night - great value for a lovely stopover in our opinion. We found it very peaceful and would definitely stay here again.

Great to be back

Deepdale
We had been unable to return to this site for some time (COVID and time in hospital ) so we wondered if it had changed. Happily no way - the only down side was that the owner was unable to personally greet us due to health reasons. Her son Neil, has taken over all the welcome duties and the welcome was just as friendly and he was as helpful as ever in siting us. The site had not changed, apart from the surrounding well-trimmed hedges getting ever bigger. This just makes the site itself even more sheltered. Considering the recent very dry weather the grass was better than expected but Neil apologised for not having been able to cut it to its normal trimmed length ! Once again thank you for a lovely relaxing week's break - even the much-welcomed rain did not ruin our stay. It was also nice to meet some of the old regular campers on site - friendly as ever. We will be back and hopefully our next visit will be very soon. Thank you once again

Do not go here if you have a dog

Deepdale
Do not go there if you have a dog, owners let there dog roam the site unattended and along the lane. It is not good when you have a nervous dog on a lead and the owners dog seems to think it is OK to follow it around wherever you go. Owners need to decide whether they want a CL or a garden, it is imposing for guests to relax in this situation. Too many very tall trees makes it cold and damp day and night. BEWARE..1/2 mile of single track road with sharp bends and NO passing places
