Why stay here ...

High Farm CL, Beadlam Rigg occupies a peaceful, remote rural location within the North York Moors National Park, with access to many off-road walking & cycling routes direct from the site gate. We offer metered EHU with 10kWh (our average summer usage on site) included within the pitch fee, free WiFi, a toilet & shower room and we have some hard standing too. The site is open all year around and is hard standing only through winter and the toilet and shower is closed approximately October to March - depending on the weather. We welcome well behaved dogs and children who can appreciate the tranquillity of our setting that other guests come to enjoy. The farm is located at the top of a no through road so passing traffic is minimal.

Beyond the farm the green lane gently rises up to the top of 'Rollgate Bank’ and ‘Potato Nab' escarpment where you can enjoy panoramic views of Ryedale to the south and Bilsdale and Slightholmedale to the North. If you are hungry after a busy day working up an appetite, within 5 miles of the site we have the full range of excellent places to eat from Michelin Star restaurants, exquisite afternoon teas, farm shop bistros right through to good old Fish and Chips, Indian and pizza takeaways. You’ll certainly not go hungry in Yorkshire!

The National Park has an abundance of tourist attractions to offer and is an International Dark Skies Reserve for great stargazing opportunities. Some suggestions of where to visit & walking/cycling routes can be found on our website to help you plan and get the most out of your stay.

Our location is great for:

  • Visiting local market towns, York, the Jurassic Coast and the Heather Moorland
  • Off road Walking and Cycling direct from the site or in the wider National Park
  • Small units requiring toilet and shower facilities
  • Well behaved dogs and children
  • Peaceful stays with Scenic Views
  • Nature Friendly Location
  • Located within the North York Moors International Dark Skies Reserve
  • Great TV, 4G and Free WiFi (if you want to stay connected to the outside world!)

Adjacent to the farm steading we also have self-catered accommodation for couples and a Modern static caravan which sleeps up to 5 people. So why not bring your friends who do not have a caravan with you or alternatively come back during the winter when you still want to enjoy our wonderful surroundings but could do with a few more home comforts too!

We look forward to welcoming you at High Farm, Beadlam Rigg soon!

A lovely, quiet site with great views

We have just spent a couple of nights at High Farm and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The approach is up a single track road, but traffic is light and we encountered no problems coming or going. The road from the A170 through Pockley is much better than through Beadlam. The site is... Show more

A great place to stay

We recently return from yet another stay here at High Farm. We found the site as usual in excellent condition clean and tidy. The site is quiet as it is at the end of the lane. We traveled more this time than normal to places around the area mostly going... Show more

Remote location with nice surroundings. Don`t be put off by the lengthy single track access road. Remember that this is a working farm so be prepared for farm noise during the day. Owner is very friendly and our welcome was immediate and efficient. Shower block was impeccable. We visited Helmsley,... Show more

Hidden gem

Recently spent 6 nights on this site, 2nd time of staying and won’t be our last. At the end of a single track road with stunning views, don’t let the drive to the site put you off. We had no problems with our twin axle. Loads to do in the area, Helmsley... Show more

Great CL - we will return.

The CL is a large field opposite the farmhouse and we were greeted on arrival. The facilities (there is a shower/loo) were explained to us and we picked our pitch. The pitches are extremely generous and all have excellent views over the surrounding countryside. Our grass pitch remained verdant and well-drained... Show more
