The site is perfectly situated on a quiet, secluded back lane on the northern edge of the village. It is a lovingly maintained, flat, well-drained site with easy access. All five pitches have ample space for awnings with electric hookups. There are recycling facilities, water and a brand new chemical toilet disposal unit.
The site is perfect for a noise free, stress free break.
Harome is a charming village to stroll around, there are beautiful old thatched cottages, a church and duck pond. The Star Inn is the jewel of the village. The 14th century thatched inn features a beautiful oak beamed bar area, a Michelin starred restaurant and a wonderful beer garden. The popular pheasant hotel, is 500 yards away.
Harome is surrounded by fantastic walks and interesting market towns. Helmsley is 2.5 miles away, the picturesque market town has popular attractions including the National Centre for Birds of Prey at Duncombe Park and Helmsley Brewery. There are many craft and gift shops, Helmsley Castle, the Walled Garden and an open-air swimming pool.
For shopping essentials Helmsley boasts several shops, newsagents, green grocers, library and a petrol station. Market day is Friday with lovely stalls on the market square. Helmsley is home to award winning delicatessens, as well as an Indian and two Italian restaurants. There are various eateries including fine dining at The Feversham Arms and Black Swan Hotel. There is an abundance of public houses, two fish and chip shops and at least 14 coffee shops!
Other local attractions include the North Yorkshire Moors Railway based in the attractive market town of Pickering (market day is Monday), Flamingo Land, Eden Camp the live WW2 Museum near to Malton, Dalby Forest and the North Yorkshire Moors for breathtaking walks or bike rides. Castle Howard is a must visit along with Rievaulx Abbey at Helmsley. The delightful walled-city of York and the breath-taking coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough and Filey are only an hour's drive away.
