Why stay here ...

Dyke Bottom Farm CL is a small and friendly site just on the edge of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The site is well maintained and overlooks open countryside, yet we are less than two miles away from the centre of Harrogate, with its many eating establishments, shops and other tourist attractions.

The site offers Electric Hook-up units, water, WC disposal point, refuse and recycling. Please note: we do not have toilet or shower facilities on our CL site. We are a working family farm, and our son, George has a small flock of hens (some rare breed) laying free range eggs which he sells to earn his pocket money, which is proving to be very popular with our visitors.

We are located within easy travelling distance of the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors, with York and Leeds being less than a 30 minute journey away from the site. Other local attractions include Bettys Tearooms, RHS Harlow Carr Gardens, The Yorkshire Show Ground, Harrogate International Centre, The Turkish Baths, Ripley Castle, Harewood House, plus numerous National Trust properties/locations.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a tidy, well mown CL site, and have recently increased the number of hardstanding pitches available in case of inclement weather or for easy levelling for Motorhomes. Well behaved children and dogs are most welcome.

There is a bus stop within a 5-7 minute walk from our site, and we are located within a mile of cycle tracks to travel across Harrogate and surrounding areas. Walking into Harrogate from our site is possible, located less than a mile and a half from the town centre.

We have two local pubs within easy walking distance of our site, if you don’t fancy either cooking or driving. Harrogate and surrounding areas have many good eating establishments with most cuisines, price ranges covered.

Please contact us preferably via email to enquire about making a booking phone (or please leave a message on our answerphone and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible) or call our mobile.

Thanks for looking at our site, and we hope to welcome you to our CL in the near future.

short break

Dyke Bottom Farm
Perfect overnight couple of days break. Stayed on route to break up our journey south from north of Scotland. Friendly site and owner. Did not invade our space and let us get on with our time. Did cycle into Harrogate the 1st 1/2 mile from the site is on a main road, but this did not give us any issues. levelling blocks are required and preferably quad, we only have triple levelling blocks. Would definitely return.

Easy Life

Dyke Bottom Farm
Convenient location just off the A59, don't let this fool you - we stayed over a weekend and didn't hear any traffic noise, slopping site, with views between the farm buildings, Convenient for RHS Harlow Carr, Harrogate and Ripley. Easy access into the field. Well kept and grass well mown.

Short September Break

Dyke Bottom Farm
We booked Dyke Bottom purely because we were attending a wedding in Harrogate, but decided to stay on longer. The site is easy to find on the road out of Harrogate, although that same road is very busy at times when heading back into Harrogate, and has a couple of difficult to negotiate roundabouts/junctions. Good, if rather bumpy approach road and through a gate on the right to the pitches. Our pitch had a bit of a slope and needed many ( provided) blocks due to it being a long unit, but we got there in the end! The outlook is beautiful, especially in the sunshine, and the site is well kept. There is some road noise but didn't bother us at all. We were given good information on arrival and the owners were friendly. We would visit again as we didn't have time to visit some of the attractions in the area, and this is a well positioned site in that respect, and only a couple of miles out of Harrogate, which I have not visited for many years. Highly recommend.

Lovely cl site

Dyke Bottom Farm
Just had a very pleasant stay, The grass was mowed and ALL the grass cuttings were collected, that is a bonus as on other sites you are walking in grass. A pleasant walk to hampsthwaite about 4 miles return, bought fresh eggs which is always nice, very nice owners, very helpful and given information pack which makes it easier when you first arrive. Thank you for a great stay

Great CL

Dyke Bottom Farm
Really well cared for CL , grass nice and short slightly sloping but not a problem. The only downside is traffic noise from the main road and nowhere to walk the dog from the site
