Why stay here ...

Our site is very quiet and secluded. It is set in an elevated position (450ft) on the edge of the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and faces south. It has far reaching views over the Vale of York and across to the Pennines. The site is grassed and slopes gently and is equipped with ample hook-ups and water supply. Horses or cattle normally graze in the adjoining fields. The area is good for walking and sight-seeing and is convenient for exploring the City of for York, the Howardian and Hambleton Hills and the North York Moors. The East Coast is an hour's drive away. Easingwold (3 miles drive away) is a very small and attractive town with a good range of local shops including a variety of take-aways. Local pubs provide a wide variety of food at a range of prices to suit every pocket. There is riding, golf (Thirsk and Easingwold), fishing and racing (Thirsk, Wetherby, Ripon, York) nearby.

We look forward to welcoming you to our home. We know you will find it a beautiful and tranquil place but one that is within easy reach of a wide variety of scenery, excellent food, top quality entertainment, varied recreational activities and magnificent historic sites.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer which members can use.

Fantastic!

We stayed for 6 nights. A beautiful site, with lovely views. The owner was really friendly…she has 3 lovely horses in the field! The facilities are fantastic…..not sure about the showers as we use our own but I’m sure they’re good as everything else was. The field is sloping…..we tried... Show more

I keep saying I won’t review the best CLs

From the great views to the perfect location this site is everything and more I want from a CL. Friendly owner and immaculate in every way. It’s heaven on a hillside. It has a slope but bricks are provided to help on the corner legs. We have two young children... Show more

Lovely Site

Found this site easily, although it is a single track road, but visibility is good and other vehicles have time to see you. Site is sloping, as everyone else mentions, but we parked up by the hedge to maximise the view and had no difficulty levelling our caravan. We were... Show more

excellent

A fine site in a wonderfully tranquil setting. The shower/toilet block spotlessly clean. And a bonus - a Barn Owl flying over the fields in front of the site every evening, looking for his dinner.

Pleasant spot: good value site

Pam is a very friendly and welcoming host. Site very pleasant with good views . Excellent toilet and shower block plus info room. Great value for £12 per night. Only cautionary advice is be careful on the final access road from the nearby village green: it really is single track.
