Relatively New CL

Low Hall Farm
We stayed here for 8 nights. Owners welcoming. It has only been open just over a year I believe, so yes it is still basic. I would prefer new and basic, to dirty and worn out. Nightly charge is a little steep. As they say Rome wasn't built in a day, speaking to owner Nick, he mentioned something he was considering which we thought was a good idea, i.e an information hut. No there wasn't any recycling, but we have been to a few sites where this doesn't appear to happen but actually does. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Simply not the best

Low Hall Farm
This is a basic clean formal site - however, it is disappointing in its formal cramped layout with limited space between hard-standings, no privacy, no screening etc. It is almost barren and featureless. There was no noticeable recycling facility. The night we stayed there were 5 other units on site (there are 6 hard-standings) and there was a further unit off the drive into the site. £25 per night is excessive for what is offered and although we had a EHU it failed to work (no problem as were have an integral solar and battery was fully charged with travelling). We stayed on another site nearby for a couple of nights which we considered to be far superior and much better value.

Well presented CL

Low Hall Farm
The CL opened last year and is well laid out. There were a small number of lambs with sheep in the adjacent field. Quiet site. Easy booking with owners. Community run pub in the village a short waln away (5-10 min ). Easy drive from A1 (approx 15mins).

Peace and quiet

Low Hall Farm
Perfect CL, the whole process was simple from making first contact to arriving, set on a working farm (you wouldn’t think so), great level hard standing ample sized pitches in a well kept area with an easy wide access off the road. Sat on the edge of a lovely quiet village, short walk to a superb community run pub The Countryman’s Inn, not far from either Bedale or Leyburn and even closer to Catterick Garrison for essentials. Being spring the field surrounding us was full of lambs, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wholeheartedly recommend if offbeat simple CL’s are your thing. Richard & Clare

Gods own County

Low Hall Farm
Another beautiful CL with fantastic owners. Nice new site with easy access and lovely level hard standing pitches with EHU. No light pollution at night so the stars are very bright. Local pub 10 minutes walk from site local ale on tap and superb food at very reasonable prices. Hunton is a lovely peaceful village with very nice polite residents even the youngsters strike up a conversation with you. Overall Sue and Nick have a lovely site that is in an ideal position to explore the Dales. Steve and Caroline
