Self Sufficient

Little Lodge Farm
Spent two enjoyable nights on the bottom field, surrounded by nature and tranquility. Owners very easy going, just use your own initiative on arrival. Mainly an equestrian hub , but riders and campers mix in harmony which only adds to one’s surroundings having horses ponies and donkeys alongside. Plenty of tracks and trails to explore and roam with the dogs who also loved splashing about in the river. If you like being off grid and self sufficient this is the spot

Lovely peaceful site in middle of Thetford Forest

Little Lodge Farm
This was my first ever trip in my caravan and I chose Little Lodge Farm as I had visited it before to stay in one of their lodges. The CL site is fenced off from the other areas and has nice views of the horse paddocks and down to the river in the distance. The field is very well drained being on sandy soil and relatively flat so very easy to get parked. The site was quiet and is fantastic for walking as it is right in the middle of the forest. There were lots of others staying in other areas of the farm but this didn't detract from the CL, and everyone was very friendly and considerate. Will definitely go back.

Quiet Night

Little Lodge Farm
This was our first night on our tour of Norfolk, we phoned ahead and were given great advise on how to find the site. On arrival we found the site easerly, a grassed area fully fenced off from the rest of the fields, the farm looks like its primarily a horse stud with numerious paddocks around for horses. There is a much larger camping site down by the river but this had no effect on the CL. The area is slightly slopping so you might need ramps. Water, CDP and rubbish were available in the corner of the field which was easily accesable to our campervan. The site was very quiet and peaceful with plenty of walks in and around the forest.

A really nice place to stay

Little Lodge Farm
We’ve stayed at this site a couple of times now. It is so attractive surrounded by paddocks for horses and the woodland of Thetford forest. It appears to have a couple of options for pitching. Either on the meadow by the river or on the official CL field with water and good waste and chemical facilities. For horse riding or dog walking it is ideal. It is possible to canoe on the river. The highlight for us was spotting otters playing in the river just downstream of the site. If only it had electric hook up we would be tempted to stay much longer. I’ll have to get a solar panel!

Very Disappointing

Little Lodge Farm
We visited this site in June with our motorhome. After an extremely long bumpy access road we arrived at the mainly horse riding orientated farm and couldn't find the CL. The owner ignored our plight and walked right past us continuing to chat with some young ladies with a horse. Eventually we discovered that the horsebox parking area is the CL! This was an uneven part sloping grassy field which was not even close to the waters edge. We were however offered an adjoining large field as an alternative so we opted for that instead. We couldn't connect to the strange fitting on the fresh water tap in the CL but luckily found a conventional fitting in the next field. This is a very basic site which we are normally happy with but there was no excuse for having to take all our rubbish home as no rubbish/recycling facilities were available. We reduced our stay on principle to only one night as it offered such poor value at £10 but should have cost  almost half that amount. The CL was clearly an afterthought and this site provided the worst value for money we have experienced to date.
