Norwich boasts some of the most impressive architecture in the UK and the influence of the Normans, Romans and Anglo-Saxons can be seen everywhere.

At the centre of the city are the Cathedral and Norwich Castle, which are both worth a visit to find out more about their rich and fascinating history.

Norwich also contains one of the largest outdoor markets in England, which is thought to date back to 1071. Of course, it has developed a lot since then and Norwich now has the usual mix of big-brand stores, as well as smaller retailers.

There are also plenty of places to eat and drink in the city as the Norwich nightlife offers a range of bars, clubs and pubs. During the warmer summer months, there is a definite cafe culture, with patrons encouraged to eat outdoors.
