View and BookNut Tree Campsite is a secluded and peaceful site set in the North Norfolk Countryside, near to the market town of North Walsham. The site is in a spacious but private grassed field with views over open countryside, farmlands and woodlands. All pitches have electric hook up and space to accommodate awnings.
Dogs are very welcome. The owner has a wealth of experience training dogs, specialising in gun dogs. Both kennelling and training sessions are available on request (please book in advance).
Situated on the Weavers Way and within walking distance of the Paston Way, this is an excellent base for walking as well as other outdoor pursuits. Close to the Forestry Commission's Bacton Woods with extensive walking routes and known for its challenging mountain bike trails. Easy access to The Broads National Park with it’s wonderful wildlife and water sports as well as the varied and beautiful Norfolk Coastline, with the closest beach only 6 miles away. Areas of local interest include the Dilham to North Walsham canal, the only canal in Norfolk. In the centre of the historic market town of North Walsham is Paston College, home to Lord Nelson’s education. Three National Trust properties with historic houses and extensive parklands are located within half an hour's drive.
Local amenities are available in the nearby town of North Walsham. There is a traditional market every Thursday, a range of supermarkets and local shops, as well as a garage, a laundrette, banks, post office and chemists. In the town there is a varied selection of takeaways including Indian, Chinese, Fish and Chips and Pizza and there are many restaurants to suit all budgets, with small cafes, pubs, multinational cuisine and more traditional country house hotel restaurants. For rainy days the town has a leisure centre with swimming pool and there is a cinema in the coastal town of Cromer. Local History Museums are located in both Cromer and Great Yarmouth.
