Bure Valley Railway
Norfolk's narrow-gauge steam railway to the Norfolk Broads with combined train and cruise tours available.
View and BookSituated in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside, Russdenill Lodge is an adults only CL and is ideally located in a peaceful and tranquil area for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
For those looking to explore the countryside or walk their dog there is an abundance of footpaths (one of which is a minute away from the CL). Directly outside the site is route 30 on the cycle network. Only a minute's drive down the lane there are two lovely fishing lakes and in the village you will find the local pub serving delicious food.
There are many places to visit nearby. There's the historic Georgian town of Holt and the seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer. The Poppy Line steam train runs between Holt and Sheringham and sometimes you can hear in the distance the train puffing up the hill at Weighbourne. You may also like to go to Sheringham Park, Blickling Hall or Felbrigg Hall, all of which are run by the National Trust. There is also the museums of Thursford Steam and the Muckleburgh Military Collection. The Royal Residence of Sandringham and the village of Walsingham famous for its religious shrines are both within an hour's drive.
Ideal location to stay for the September 1940s weekend in Holt and Sheringham.
Electric Hook Ups are available on each pitch.
