Watatunga Wildlife Reserve
A multi-award winning wildlife reserve offering self-drive guided safaris in electric buggies.
View and BookLittle Orchard is set amongst many acres of farmland in the west of Norfolk. The site itself occupies 0.75 acres of flat grassland with apple, pear and plum trees to one end. There is a small pond with Indian Runner ducks and hens in an enclosed area. All pitches are grass, have electric hook up and are well spread out with views across open farmland to the south west. The site is secluded. Dogs and other pets are always very welcome. The wildlife here is lovely and can often be observed from the comfort of your caravan. DEFRA countryside walks are on the doorstep and there is a small nature reserve one mile's walk from the site.
The site is really well situated as it offers not only easy access to the beautiful Norfolk coast but also to the fens and wetlands to the west and the lovely cities of Cambridge and Ely, both well worth a visit. Sandringham House is a 20 minute drive due North, there are often events held in the beautiful grounds. The National Trust property of Oxborough Hall is just a 10 minute drive, famous for its Priest's Hole (as seen on the Antiques Roadshow). Easy access to both market towns of Swaffham and Downham Market for shopping etc. Post Office / filling station in the village less than an minute's drive from the site in Fincham.
On site we have a cosy summer house which houses a television, hifi and comfortable chairs as well as lots of information on the local area. We sell our own eggs and also home made cakes and bread (when I have time!) We aim to provide a very relaxed, friendly, informal atmosphere at Little Orchard and will be happy to help you in any way to make your stay with us a memorable one. For those of you who enjoy a fire we have a fire pit which is free of charge to use although you will need to provide your own wood.
