Refused 1 Night Stay

Nursery Farm
Despite having the space, midweek in a wet (non peak season) May, we were refused a single night stay, and told a minimum 3 nights stay only, and 1 night was too much trouble for them. "Tourers" filling up with water and having to deal with their waste and rubbish just wasn't worth it! As fully paid up members this was very inconsiderate, as well as hostile and quite frankly extremely rude. I don't know if this is against club membership rules or not, but it's hardly in the spirit of club membership is it.

Brilliant site

Nursery Farm
We have just spent 11 nights on this site and what a find. Very peaceful, yes you can hear the road but it didn’t bother us. Think the aircraft noise was worse. Met by owners and shown where we could pitch. Due to wet weather previously there were 2 pitches that weren’t usable but clearly pointed out to us. The site is split over 2 fields 3 pitches with electric hookup and a water tap behind and 2 in the other field. An 8 acre wood directly behind to exercise the dogs very handy first and last thing in the day. Some lovely walking from the site but also easy round and about. There is a shower and toilet on the site it is adequate but could possibly do with a little updating. Use of a washer and a dryer on site but a little pricey at £4 per load to wash and £2 for 30 mins to dry. Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Norfolk.

September 2021 visit

Nursery Farm
This site has a great location for peace and quiet and tranquility. It is also well maintained. It is a five minute drive into Cromer which is a great seaside town. It is also situated ideally for other local villages and beaches. Although Thorpe Market doesn’t have any amenities the surrounding villages do. The site is very spacious with a lovely backdrop of woods. The pitches have a water tap which is excellent as it saves having tea fetch water. The on-site shower and toilets are clean and adequate. For a peaceful holiday or a weekend break you can’t do much better than this.

Excellent CL

Nursery Farm
This CL is well situated for easy access to Cromer. The local village has no facilities at all. The site is extensive and each pitch has a massive area to pitch in. We were on Pitch 1 which has a superb position. The owners are friendly and both greeted us on arrival. EHU is 16A and there are the usual facilities. TV reception was very poor but internet was good. There is some road noise but we didn't find it obtrusive. The daily charge is £15 and not as quoted in the CMAC book. To sum up, we thought the CL was excellent and would definitely return.

Recent Visit

Nursery Farm
The facilities are basic but they are clean. A few creepy crawlies due to being housed in shed. Based in the lower field our pitch was particularly dry and sandy with pine needles. We hadn't realised this so would recommend other caravanners check this out before pitching as a lot of dirt gets tracked into the awning. We should have pitched on full grass but that was our mistake. We did find the road noise intrusive. It is a very busy road and needs care when turning out as the traffic is busy and travelling at a high speed. My main concern was that in the top paddock and indeed the caravanner sited next to us did not keep their dogs tethered. We noticed this throughout our stay. Just before our departure I took our small dog for a quick walk around the woods (on a lead) and through the top paddock. Whilst walking through the top paddock a loose lurcher type dog attacked our dog. It was very frightening and myself and the dog owner had to physically separate them. Luckily there was no damage but a few seconds later I think my dog would have been badly wounded or even killed. I was so upset we left the site immediately. I would request that the owners of the site please enforce the rule that dogs should not be left untethered even if their owners are outside with them. A quick check is all it needs. Because of this traumatic event we would not return.
