Why stay here ...

Darwood House is a 15th Century settlement set in 20 acres of parkland - a rural and tranquil retreat. A 2 acre lawn CL site, spacious grass pitches with 16 amp EHU and superior shower and toilet facility.

Enjoy the beautiful, elevated uninterrupted views of true Lincolnshire on this south facing sheltered site. The whole CL site is fully underdrained with a very large gated entrance with traditional oak gates and Lincolnshire fencing.

Darwood nestles in a valley approximately half a mile form the world reknowned Woodhall Spa golf course, the home of English golf. The historic Lincolnshire spa village of Woodhall Spa is close by. Here you will find many quality, independent retailers together with a variety of restaurants, cafes and coffee shops that cater for the most discerning of tastes. An abundance of leisure facilities at Jubilee Park - tennis, bowls and a full size outdoor heated swimming pool with Lido.

In the evening, why not take a visit to the world famous 'Kinema in the Woods' and turn back the clock 70 years? With excellent cycling and walking routes throughout the area together with the nearby river Witham there really is something for all interests.

Take advantage of the opportunity to visit the historic airfields of WW2 that surround the Darwood House area. Ranging from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight to the Lancaster and its taxy runs at East Kirkby airfield, and of course, the Petwood Hotel at Woodhall Spa, home of 617 Dambusters squadron.

The Roman town of Horncastle is a short drive away with its many antique shops, banks, supermarkets, etc.

The Cathedral city of Lincoln is just 30 minutes away with its magnificent medieval Cathedral and castle.

For friends and family members wishing to join you whilst staying on our CL we have a traditional Shepherd's Hut which can sleep 2.

A warm welcome always awaits you at Darwood where we will endeavour to give you our very best traditional Lincolnshire hospitality.

Second visit

This has to be the most peaceful site we've been to. Tucked away in gorgeous countryside yet just 6 miles from Woodhall Spa, it's the perfect spot to just sit and relax. It's wonderful to watch the wildlife - hares, muntjac, pheasants, a good variety of birds and,... Show more

Well run site

A very well-run site, run with military precision, we were shown exactly where to pitch the caravan, including which way to face, so no decisions for us to make! Due to Covid restrictions, the shower and toilet were not available - not a problem as we usually prefer to use... Show more
