Ark Wildlife Park
Award winning wildlife rescue Zoo offering up close encounters with exotic animals, play areas and more.
View and BookDakota Park caravan site is on the B1192 just outside Coningsby. We are a small 5 van Certificated Location with friendly and helpful staff. Self catering cottage also available adjacent.
We have a pretty site with some stunning sunsets and sunrises.
Just up the road is RAF Coningsby and "The Battle of Britain memorial flight" so we get plenty of action with all types of planes from the old Chipmunks, spitfires, the Dakota and the Lancaster to the up-to-date Typhoons etc. If it's a peaceful quiet site you want then this is not the place, the planes fly regularly during the week and very often a display is put on with the pilots training for the big shows. It can get very exciting especially when they are flying right over your head! We have even built a 10 foot high bank so you can get a better view of the planes.
There are a vast amount of country pubs with home cooked food, cafes, Chinese, Italian and Indian restaurants. We are also very close to Woodhall Spa, Horncastle, Boston and Lincoln for some exciting shopping and site seeing.
We will welcome your dogs as long as they are well behaved and they don't disturb other members. There are some stunning walks with fantastic scenery.
If you love plane spotting then this is the place to come and stay. The planes fly regularly during the week but finish Friday lunch time for the weekends. You get to see all the Typhoons training and the old Battle of Britain planes like the Spitfire, Hurricane, The Dakota and The Lancaster plus lots of visiting aircraft, so this is an exciting place to come but not if its peace and quiet that your looking for, the planes are noisy and the road can be busy at times but the planes and excitement surely make up for it.
Runway cottage has a lovely bright and sunny open plan kitchen/ lounge with all mod cons, large flat screen t.v, hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a coffee machine.
A large modern shower room with large shower and constant hot water, toilet, wash hand Basin and fluffy soft towels.
A stunning double bedroom with a comfy double bed and fluffy warm quilt, you can even lay in bed and watch the planes go out to play. There is a day bed, dressing table and a wardrobe.
Outdoor seating area with table and chairs and sun chairs all in a fenced off pretty garden so you can bring your dog and know it is safe. There are some stunning dog walks where you can have your dog off lead without fear of meeting another dog.
You have your own parking spaces.
We are very close to Coningsby, Tattershall, Hornastle, Boston, Lincoln and Woodhall Spa so there are lots of lovely tea rooms, country pubs with home cooked food and lots of local activities places of interest to visit. Close by there is fishing, farm parks, golf and lots more. The Beach is only 40 minutes drive.
Michelle looks forward to welcoming you to her CL.

Michelle made us so welcome. We booked the site for it's location and the spectacle of the typhoons. Which didn't disappoint. Shame we have to score peace and tranquility as it has to be low as that is not why you stay. Lovely large pitch - we were on "Spitfire"... Show more

Just spend a very pleasant three nights here. This site exemplifies the variety of CLs, and that each has their own USP. In this case, it's the planes! We saw loads of Typhoon jets going over each day, they seem relatively low and very loud, and very fast!!. ... Show more
