View and BookLittle End Corner is a peaceful and picturesque CL with a beautiful, mature, 2 acre fishing pond on site. It is situated in the quaint village of Tetney; which offers a Spar shop, village pub, fish and chip shop, coffee shop, and golf club with restaurant; all within a short pleasant walk.
Martin’s fishing pond is Little End Corner’s main attraction and won ‘Best CL for Fishing 2008’. It is stocked with all coarse fish to very good sizes including double figure carp being caught on a daily basis and some very large perch in particular.
Full list of species present in the pond: Roach, Rudd, Bream, Perch, Tench, Blue Orfe, Golden Orfe, Barbel, Chub, Gudgeon, Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Grass Carp, Crucian Carp, Eels, Goldfish.
The 5 electric hook ups are sited on a hill overlooking the stunning lake and ideally placed for holiday makers to soak up the summer sunshine and chill out with the beauty of nature all around.
It is a haven for wildlife in the area with birds of prey such as Sparrow Hawks, Buzzards, Owls, Merlins, Kestrels often seen as well as a vast array of more common garden birds. There is a pair of Hawfinches living on-site and the pond attracts countless water fowl on their migratory paths.
There are resident Indian Runner Ducks which a funny to watch and provide outstanding free range eggs. It is not just happy caravanners that return year after year, but also wild greylag and Canada geese that appreciate the site and owners.
Little End Corner is located on the Lincolnshire coast and there are numerous walking routes to explore the coastline, Tetney marshes, Tetney blow wells and the nearby village Tetney Lock. It is possible to follow the coastline up to Cleethorpes or down to Horse Shoe point beach and OS maps are provided so you won’t get lost.
5 miles away is the seaside resort of Cleethorpes that offers something to entertain all the family on a nice day out: sandy beaches, pier, promenade, donkey rides, leisure centre, arcades, bowling alley and cinema. There is a choice of restaurants and bars to suit everyone and some of the best fish and chips in the country.
6 miles away is the historic fishing town of Grimsby, with the National Fishing Heritage Centre museum and Freshney Place shopping centre as well as restaurants and bars. 11 miles away is the market town of Louth which has regular farmers markets and independent old fashioned shops as well as the tallest church spire in the country.
Other attractions within a short drive include Donner Nook, where the seals raise their pups in Autumn, Cadwell Park race track, Market Rasen horse racing course and Chequered Flag Karting.
About an hour’s drive away are the cities of Lincoln and Hull. Lincoln is a cultural city with steep hill and cathedral. Hull is the 2017 city of culture and offers The Deep museum.
