Lovely

The owner is very helpful, and it was lovely for a quick break. There is a footpath over the field and up the towpath to a nice pub . It was very peaceful, very rural area. And a quick drive to the beach at Ainsdale. There is a pay and... Show more

We had planned to arrive after a long drive at about teatime, but due to medical issues, it was gone 8pm and dark when we eventually arrived. David kindly suggested we pitch up in the yard for the night and move into the field in the morning. With... Show more

An excellent place to unwind

5 nights at this C.L., one that we've been promising to get to for quite some time and finally cracked it. First things first. The approach route: which is best to follow the advice from the owner, Mr.Swift. If coming from Ormskirk way then you'll travel down Cottage lane. Despite... Show more

An ideal CL

A peaceful and sheltered location with local walks to the Leeds & Liverpool Canal and to pubs. (Note there is a dodgy footbridge on the footpath going left from the site entrance). The site is very new local attractions - we love Martinmere WWT reserve but there is also the... Show more

As others have said, this CL is very quiet. Good, well drained grass surface with hard standings if needed. No worries about wheels sinking in soft ground. Owner, Mr Swift, is friendly and helpful. Facilities are fine, and easy to use. It was very hot when we were there but,... Show more

Lovely site

Just returned from our second visit here. We'd ruled out this site a couple of times when looking previously for some reason but decided to give it a chance after our favourite site down the road closed to tourers. I'm so pleased we booked, it has to be said this... Show more

Perfect for our needs

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst collecting our daughter from Edge Hill Uni. The site is level and well kept with a couple of hardstandings surrounded by tall hedging. Our pitch number was written on a blackboard so we were able to go straight to it... Show more

Quiet time

Just had 6 nights at Tristram farm. Unfortunately the weather was not the best but we still had a great time. Mr Swift was very welcoming when we arrived. He showed us where to pitch our caravan as the grass area was waterlogged. Great area to explore, not too far from... Show more
