Stoney Leach Nurseries CL is ideally situated for a restful break and a chance to explore an interesting and attractive part of northern England.
The site is for adults only, and is well-maintained with spacious hard-standing pitches each with a generous grassed area and hedge. An additional area of grass has been planted with trees and shrubs and adds to the open feel of the site which has views over the surrounding farmland as far as the Pennines.
Many of our visitors are happy to spend their time sitting on the site, maybe watching the activity on the adjoining nursery, but if you fancy something more energetic there are plenty of field paths from the site and within a few miles. Maps and leaflets are provided. Coarse fishing, horse riding and diving are all available locally. The towns of Wigan, Chorley and Ormskirk have excellent shops as do the seaside resort of Southport and the cities of Preston, Manchester and Liverpool, all within easy reach by car or train, nearest station 2 miles, bus stop 1 mile.
The nearest pub serving food is about 1.25 miles away and comes highly recommended by our guests, as does the local farm shop, about half a mile from the site.

Excellent little CL

Beautiful stopover site
We have used this sites a few times on our way south from Scotland to England. Very easy access from the motorways and you wouldn’t believe it was so close as very little noise. Site is beautifully landscaped and very peaceful. It also has recycling facilities. Think it would be... Show more

One of the best CLs on the network

Wow Amazing site
Just back from one great weekend at this site. Great welcome and showed where our pitch was. The owner was so friendly. Great nursery, we walked around on our last day and bought some plants. A great base for many a good walk.... Show more

What a lovely site

A little gem
Stayed here 2 nights November. Friendly owners and great facilities. Nice walks and a few pubs within a mile. Great if you like walking like us. Probably need a car to eat out in the winter due to lanes not being very well lit. A little gem.

Bliss
First visit to this superb CL. Beautifully laid out pitches and hedges, each pitch very private. Spacious with grass sitting area. Everything clean and tidy. Lovely nursery with some lovely well priced plants. Owners are very helpful and informative. We will definitely be back.

One to return to
This was a perfect site for visiting the local area. The hosts were welcoming and helpful and it was a delight to be on a level quiet and clean pitch, nicely presented and with well maintained facilities. Food at the local ‘white swan’ pub was excellent. We will return!... Show more
