Why stay here ...

Our brand new CL site is situated over 3 acres down a quiet country lane with a private 1 acre well-stocked coarse fishing lake. From the camp site, take a leisurely stroll around our winding pathway which surrounds the lake and through our cool woodland area taking in all the wildlife.

You can easily be mistaken in thinking you are in the middle of the Lake District as the picturesque surroundings and gentle sound of the water feature help you drift off into your own tranquillity.

There are many bridal paths and lovely dog walks to explore around the local area.

We have only 5 pitches so it's never crowded and each pitch has a lovely view overlooking the lake.

Each pitch has a 10 amp electrical supply and water tap and are individually named according to their surroundings.

We have newly built shower and toilet block for our guests plus an information room with washing and drying facilities.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but we ask you to keep them on a lead when exercising them.

There are several large supermarkets within a couple of miles to stock up on your essentials, plus plenty of pubs with dining facilities, additionally, there are great takeaways mostly with free delivery services if you don't want to cook!

For those wanting to see the bright lights of Blackpool in all its splendour, you can hop on a bus or drive and its only 10 minutes to the town centre. Britain's premier seaside resort offers non-stop amusement for the whole family from morning to night.

Just a few miles in the opposite direction heading south of the site is the more relaxed town of St Anne's, elegant shopping and beautiful restaurants, plenty of sand beaches ideal for family fun.

Move a couple of miles further south to Lytham, again, lots more fancy restaurants and shopping and here you can take a leisurely stroll around Fairhaven Lake, Lowther Park or along the Lytham Green sea front.

A fantastic base to visit Blackpool.

We have just stayed here for three nights at the weekend to attend, The Blackpool Tower Northern Soul Weekender. We were given a warm welcome and well informed on the use of the site. It really is a great little spot, well secured with electric hook up and fresh water. Excellent surroundings with a fishing lake, lots of wildlife including grey squirrels. The Toilet/shower block is very clean, it even had shower gel supplied. We will most definitely be back next year, £22 per night was good value for money we thought. Jimmy & Alison Dundee.

Peace and quiet

Just spent 9 nights at Lakeside, awhile since we last visited, but just as enjoyable. A real gem, complete relaxation and so close to the UK premier holiday resort and other areas. Full credit to Mandy and Jackie who keep this site top top and exceptionally clean in difficult times, booked again for 2 visits next year. Both girls are friendly and welcoming, thanks for a most enjoyable and relaxing stay, see you next April. Pauline and Paul

Excellent fishing, lovely owners

This is a great Cl Site. Friendly owners, clean, spacious showers and toilets and good, cheap laundry facilities. The site is pretty and kept very clean and the fishing is fantastic. Mandy and Jackie are are really helpful, friendly and welcoming. The only slight dislike was the surface of the hardstandings which were rather sharp and irritated our dogs paws.

Access to Site

I've been coming to this site for 2 years now, and I don't find any problems at all getting in or out of the site. Some people find it hard, and I have to say that my outfit is 43ft long and I have no problem whatsoever in manoeuvring it at all. That being said, it is a very lovely site, and the 2 girls that own it (Mandy and Jackie), nothing is too much trouble for them. There is a brand new shower block, water and electric on each pitch, all of which are hard-standing, and if you like fishing you've got just the spot for it.

Lovely Peaceful setting within reach of Blackpool

Just returned from an Easter break 2019....5 Stars from us. Peaceful setting overlooking the fishing lake, which is fenced off, from the CL. Mandy and Jacky are very polite and met us when we arrived to show us around. Blackpool is within easy reach, whether it's on public transport, bike or car, (bit far for us to walk). There's a new toilet block which has a Gents WC, Ladies WC and Shower cubicle (20p for 2 mins, 40p for 4 mins etc), Washing machine and sink for dish washing. Free Wifi to keep the kids happy. All hard standing, electric pitches with own water tap overlooking the lake. We'll be definitely returning to this lovely CL. Entrance to the CL is a bit tight for a large caravan/motorhome, take your time and you'll be ok.
