Hythe is a small Kent town on the south coast, lying close to the flat coastal plain of Romney Marsh. The area contains some of Britain's most unique scenery, including Dungeness, a national nature reserve and the only land in the UK to be officially classed as desert.
The coast offers a range of sand and shingle beaches, while walkers can also enjoy the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just north of the town.
Hythe itself has a Victorian promenade, while local attractions include the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway, a narrow gauge steam railway that serves the coastal towns of the area as far as Dungeness.
