Cowes is often described as the Maritime Gateway to the Isle of Wight and is a popular destination for those who enjoy sailing and other water pursuits.
The home of the oldest and largest sailing regatta in the world, the town certainly has a great range of facilities and attractions. In summer months, its fabulous beaches are a great place to soak up the sun.
However, if the weather is less than favourable there are a number of fascinating maritime museums to explore as well as Queen Victoria’s Seaside Palace.
Cowes also has a great café nightlife, with many of the eateries offering extending opening hours during warmer months to allow customers to sit outside and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
