Why stay here ...

Situated at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, Dagnall Farm is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) consisting of ancient Beech and Oak woodlands, rolling chalk downlands and lush meadows. Mown grass pitches provide an ideal location for a peaceful escape, with well-behaved dogs welcome and miles of walks, footpaths and bridleways accessed directly from the site, a 10 minute walk to the Red Lion village pub and plenty of additional local pubs and restaurants to visit.

  • Mown grass pitches
  • Unmetered EHU (16 Amp) and drinking water on each pitch
  • Dogs welcome
  • Secure access
  • Online booking

Pitch fees per night are inclusive with no additional charges, ranging from £20 mid season up to £25 at the start and end of the season.

As well as enjoying the peace and quiet, there is a lot to do locally by day and night! Whipsnade Zoo and the National Trust Ashridge Estate are minutes away, with the Brownlow Cafe providing the perfect stop for decent home-cooked food after a circular walk through Ashridge. Ivinghoe Beacon, Pitstone Windmill, Medieval Edlesborough Church are all on the door step too.

15 minutes away is the historic market town of Berkhamsted hosting an excellent range of shops and restaurants, Berkhamsted Castle and the luxurious (and very comfortable) art-deco Rex Cinema.

Local National Trust houses include Ascott and Waddesdon. The Tring Reservoirs, Grand Union Canals and College Lake wildlife centre, just a few miles from the CL, provide one of the best places in Buckinghamshire to see water birds.

Peaceful and hassle-free

We stay at Dagnall CL multiple times each year and it’s always been peaceful and relaxing. It’s a very well-kept, but natural looking site with access to plenty of local walks -and a pub! We love the large, fully-serviced pitches. A particular bonus is the excellent online... Show more

Change in flight path

The flight path for Luton airport has changed putting this site directly under it. Not sure if it’s every day but the internet says it changed in July. Really noisy. It’s 1am and there’s about 15 min in between planes. The owners are very hands off. That’s great if the... Show more

Lovely get away

We really enjoyed our weekend at this small site surrounded by beautiful countryside. The pitch was flat and well maintained with all the facilities we needed. Beautiful walks straight from the site on to the Icknield Way, no need to drive. There are farm shops, convenience stores and bigger supermarkets... Show more

What an excellent find

We stayed in late June with our three dogs. The site is flat grassy but very well maintained. The pitches were large and well spaced and with water and EHU on pitch made life very easy - Charles had also provided wooden blocks for the caravan steadies. Th site is peaceful... Show more

First Van 2024

Just the sort of site we look for! Booking really easy, good access and the on-pitch water a real bonus - no more worrying about running out mid shower! We were first on site on the season opening day this Easter and found the site fully prepared and ready to go.... Show more

Stayed for a few nights last week and loved it. Not a massive cl but enough room. Very easy to book online. Email sent by owner with full instructions. Sat in the awning one night and a fox was in the next field, he stopped and looked at us, don't... Show more

Lovely site, shame about the aircraft

Stayed here for 5 nights with husband and 2 dogs and loved everything about this site apart from the noise from aircraft coming in to land at Luton. It’s such a shame. The site is very well organised and there’s lots to do in the local area. There’s a lovely... Show more

Pleasant stay.

Just returned from a very pleasant stay. The site is well maintained and fenced. All site services within easy access. Nice and level, neat and tidy but comfortably homely with some areas left as meadow with wild flowers etc. Horses quietly grazing in adjacent paddock. Easy to get to, rural,... Show more
