Lovely get away

Dagnall Farm
We really enjoyed our weekend at this small site surrounded by beautiful countryside. The pitch was flat and well maintained with all the facilities we needed. Beautiful walks straight from the site on to the Icknield Way, no need to drive. There are farm shops, convenience stores and bigger supermarkets all nearby. The local pub, The Red Lion was very welcoming and we enjoyed a lovely meal, plus a chat with some of our camp mates who were also there. I gave a 4 for peace and tranquillity as one day the flight path of the planes was low and quite noisy during the day, but that changed the following day and wasn’t noticeable at night. The road nearby is not an issue and the only other noise was Duke of Edinburgh students walking up the track close to the site. Otherwise just the birds. Our pitch, number 1 was very spacious and set apart from the others. Would definitely return as it’s only an hour away from home

What an excellent find

Dagnall Farm
We stayed in late June with our three dogs. The site is flat grassy but very well maintained. The pitches were large and well spaced and with water and EHU on pitch made life very easy - Charles had also provided wooden blocks for the caravan steadies. Th site is peaceful and although there was some noise from aircraft taking off and landing at Luton this was not intrusive and definitely did not detract from our stay. We know the area well and the access to walks we knew with the dogs was very easy. We will be returning whenever we need to be in that area. Overall recommendation: Excellent.

Just the sort of site we look for! Booking really easy, good access and the on-pitch water a real bonus - no more worrying about running out mid shower! We were first on site on the season opening day this Easter and found the site fully prepared and ready to go. No hard standings but despite the very heavy rain before and during our stay the site is so well drained this matters not. Others have commented on the aircraft noise and the site does sit in line with the runway at Luton so there will be aircraft landing or taking off depending on the wind direction. We didn't find it intrusive but your mileage may differ 🙂 Highly recommended if you want to visit the area and if you are using it as a covenient stop over there is enough around to warrant a couple or more days stay depending on your schedule. Fantastic stay

Dagnall Farm
It was very easy to book online. The owner kept us updated with arrival details which made it all so easy for us. We had a great stay here , even the rain didnt worry us. Our 3 dogs loved the site and nearby walks. Great location close to some beautiful places. We asked the owner if we could have our friends to visit and he got back to us really quickly and they had a great visit. Campsite has plenty of space on your pitch and is kept very clean and tidy We would highly recommend and will return next year . Each pitch has its own fresh water tap and EHU and wooden blocks for steadies if required. Pitch was very level. We loved seeing the wildlife and the friendly horses in the next field. We had a great stay thank you so much.

Loved it

Dagnall Farm
Stayed for a few nights last week and loved it. Not a massive cl but enough room. Very easy to book online. Email sent by owner with full instructions. Sat in the awning one night and a fox was in the next field, he stopped and looked at us, don't think we've ever been so close to one, it was lovely. Heard the owl one night too. The only downside was that we couldn't get tv reception, but we knew this could be a possibility before we went. We will definitely be back, not too far from us. Loved it.
