Peaceful haven in St Albane

Literally the closest site for visiting St Albans. Great welcome, plenty to do in St Albans with a bus outside site. Pub, Tesco and three takeaways within walking distance.

Great location for access to St Albans

We had an 8m motorhome and access is pretty tight. The entrance and up to the field where you camp is scruffy, but don’t let that put you off! Once in place, there is water, hook up and bins/toilet disposal. Nice and peaceful (some aircraft noise, from Luton I assume, but nothing... Show more

Peaceful location on edge of St Albans

I’ve used this site several times over the years as it’s it’s peaceful yet on the edge of the city. It has a lot of charm and Chris and the owners make you feel very welcome.

pleasant stay as a stopover

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way further south - really convenient for the A1. It reminded me of CLs we used to stay on may years ago - a field that had been cut, with water & loo disposal. (grey water into the hedge) The site does... Show more

Not Up to The Usual Standards

The site is well elevated above the surrounding St Albans greenbelt. Access to the A1 north is good but the A1 south access to London is messy. The field itself is a tight squeeze with five motorhomes/vans on site as the emptying point ,dustbins and water tap take up he... Show more

perfect, just perfect!

If, like me, you travel a lot then you will appreciate that living in a caravan for one or two weeks at a time can be awful if the conditions are wrong, like noise, no electric hook-up and not too welcoming a host, well this is one of the best... Show more

A handy site to visit St. Albans

Directions to site easy to follow. Entrance OK, be very careful driving up the made up track it has broken slabs and a few pot holes. First expressions when driving onto site are what a mess, piles of rubbish and derelict sheds and greenhouses etc.One of our pet hates is... Show more
