New Alresford Certificated Locations

New Alresford is a busy town close to the city of Winchester in Hampshire. It has plenty to offer anyone holidaying in the area with its great community feel.

The town is arranged around a T-shaped high street, with plenty of classic Georgian buildings. New Alresford has a real mix of shops, including jewellers, butchers, wine shops and independent clothing boutiques.

There is also a thriving art scene in the town and this is reflected in the work on display in the two galleries in the centre of New Alresford.

Unusually, the region is famous for its watercress industry and every year New Alresford hosts the Watercress Festival to celebrate the aquatic plant. Taking place on the third Sunday in May, the event features a street market and cookery demonstrations from experienced chefs.
