View and BookWalkeridge Farm run by husband and wife, Joe and Gemma is a 72-acre small holding situated in the North Wessex Downs AONB with views of Watership down. We have an enclosed, 1 acre site for 5 members, with individual electric hook ups, waste facilities and onsite toilet.
Adjacent to our site runs the Wayfarers Walk, a 71-mile trail linking the highest downland in south England to the mud flats along the coast. Nearby is a traditional country pub, The Vine, Hannington which serves home cooked food, fine wine and real ale, which can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes. In just a short drive you can visit Highclere Castle, the home of Downton Abbey, Bombay Sapphire where you can enjoy a site tour and cocktails on the site of a former paper mil or visit the historic towns of Newbury and Winchester.
Although there are many attractions nearby that make our site makes a perfect base, many of our guests come here to enjoy the warm welcome, peaceful surroundings and watch out for the wildlife including deer, hares, red kites, owls, and if you’re lucky you might spot some of the rare birds that have historically nested in our fields.
