Lovely peaceful site

We have been several times to Folkards and will definately return. It is a sunny peaceful get away in a secluded break in the woods . Our grandchildren love the tree swing, various horses in surrounding fields. Pine cones galore to collect and redistribute. Thank you John for making our... Show more

First time to Folkards and love it, John the owner is a very nice chap, comes to see you on his buggy with his dog, we visit family in Brightlingsea and stayed on Lakeside but no more after been here, short walk into town with good bus service shops etc...i... Show more

Beautiful Place

This is a little gem of a place,entrance is a bit tricky. Pitch area is right in the middle of a clearing in a beautiful little wood. Lots of horses scattered around the property and if you are lucky you might spot the odd grass snake or two. Great place for kids... Show more

Not having any experience of CLs we did not know what to expect. We found the site eventually (do NOT rely on your sat-nav, follow the printed directions). It was down a narrow lane and through a gate. There was no reception; pitch and the owner turns up sometime to... Show more

Very boggy!

We drove in to this site and found it very wet and muddy although there hadn't been any rain for a while but it is probably due to the shaded entrance, also there are loose sheep and the whole field appeared to be covered in sheep poo! We decided not... Show more

Folkards summer break

What a pleasant site. Had a little trouble entering the site as someone had parked their car by the entrance. The owner, Mr Folkard, helped us navigate that obstacle then showed us to our field which was down a track, through an avenue of trees and on into our pitch.... Show more
