View and BookBrand new for 2023, our CL is situated just off our working farm in the small hamlet of Owstwick, we are surrounded by peaceful countryside in the Holderness region of East Yorkshire. We are situated on a quiet rural lane which is part of the National Byway Cycling Loop.
New for 2024 we have 3 Hardstanding pitches in addition to grass.
Our site is 1.5 acres and lawned on a mostly level surface, the site is fenced and gated and surrounded by a newly planted hedge.
We have 16 amp EHU and the usual fresh water, elsan & grey waste point, general waste and recycling bins and we also have our information shed with local information, take away and pub menus and visitor attraction leaflets to help you plan your stay if you wish to explore the area. The site also benefits from good mobile phone coverage and TV signal.
The site enjoys vistas of ever-changing arable farmland, big skies and is perfectly situated to enjoy sunsets and starry nights. We are regularly visited by lots of wildlife including deer, barn owls, hares, skylarks and more.
Families and dogs are very welcome, but we request that dogs are kept on a lead and children are supervised at all times.
We provide an excellent base for exploring the Yorkshire coast from Spurn Point to Bridlington and beyond. Owstwick lies between the seaside towns of Withernsea (6.5 miles) and Hornsea (12.5 miles), both towns will provide you with all your essential supplies, cafes, takeaways, leisure centres and accessible sandy beaches.
Attractions in the area include Withernsea Lighthouse museum, Spurn Point Nature Reserve (18 miles), Honeysuckle Farm (13 miles), Hornsea Freeport. Hull (13 miles) offers the Street-Life Museum, Maritime Museum and The Deep which houses sea creatures from all over the world, St Stephens and Princes Quay shopping centres, cinemas, and lots of family attractions. Burton Constable Hall & Grounds (7 miles) are a short drive away and the historic Market town of Beverley (22 miles) is worth a visit with its Minster, cinema, shops and many cafes and restaurants.
